To Put Things For Later.

Her name was Sefilia. A sweet young girl from the elven village. She was one of the fur tuft children.

Kasim, the left to inform the elves while Jo stayed back to receive them.

Umma took us away with Bu and we continued on, the pups ignorant of the gravity of the matter and I with my jaw stiffly hung open still stimulated with lingering sensations. I wasn't one to shudder at the sight of a carcass. I have been eating carcasses with relish. I think it was just the shock that built up from an abrupt turn of a happy event.

I had a terrible mood throughout the rest of the journey. The sight of my five litter mates prancing about carefree made me envious though I wouldn't have it any other way.

We reached the Rendevous by midnight. I put aside my fears ready to take in this new place. It was nothing like I imagined it to be.

I expected to see a lovely nest of wolves lounging about doing their own thing. It was quiet, yes, but everyone actively moved about. They made very little sound. The night of the wolves had begun.

Uhd Ad looked over the wolves from the tallest tree in that area. There were multiple shadowy figures darting about around him from branch to branch. The forest floor slithered with dark misty lumps chasing each other about. from time to time, you would occasionally see one jump like an ocean wave. As they sped by, dark, circular arcs whipped through the air.

Bu, crouched lower in front of us as she walked. Her belly almost touched the ground. To my upmost surprise, she kept going lower and lower till she almost melted into a puddle. As I stared at her in wide eyed curiosity, she disappeared.

In that split second, she reappeared beside my father. It took me a while to find her silhouette. She exchanged greetings with him and I saw her motion to us.

Uhd Ad stood from his comfortable perch and yawned a big yawn with his tongue hanging out his maw and his fangs on full display. The misty wolves settled down a little from their play. Uhd lightly landed from that branch that was so high up I couldn't tell how far it was. His descent was like a feather with minimal effects on his surroundings. His huge dinner plate sized paws were cushioned with thick fur and pads that even the dry leaves didn't crunch out any sound.

How he did that, I had no idea. That would be a thought for later. I was filled with nervousness and even my siblings quietened. This was a very solemn and important part of a wolf's life- the introduction and socialisation. We were deeply studied by all the remaining members of the pack. Some may have figured out that I was the most dominant amongst my siblings and gave me a few extra looks.

How many members, the hierarchy, the pack's modus operandi, et cetera types of straying thoughts were all squished together and shelved to the back again. For now, in order to ensure myself and my siblings the priority to resourses, I had to appeal myself to the favour of the grown ones. Especially the one right below my Uhd. Their round pupils were filled with an arrogance, one that would, at any opportunity, turn their sharpened fangs towards my father's throat.
