Mood Swings

Rubick looked around the room, his red eyes glowing from behind his mask. Starting from his left, he inspected each one of the so called "Supporters" that he had hand picked to be the heroes of Earth.

Some of them held great potential, at least from what he had seen initially. However, as his gaze traveled over them, his mood went from bad to worse. The face hidden behind the mask turned ugly, disappointment mixed with his resentment, threatening to overwhelm him.

"You useless pieces of garbage!" The modicum of self-restraint that he had remaining suddenly gave way, causing him to curse loudly.

The surrounding space itself seemed to crack and fissure under his anger, threatening to burst apart. It was as if they were in a glass cage with someone breaking the glass from the outside.

The bunch of supporters in the audience shivered at this sight, unable to move from their chairs. They could only watch on in horror as the robed man stared at them fiercely.
