TWO DAYS

"SHE'S NOT WELL TO SEE VISITORS", Hendrick slammed the door shut at Scott's and Lucas' faces. It is the third time they visited today. It has been two nights since Alva took Diana from the Valley of the Falls. And now, anxious as he can be, Scott haven't seen his Luna from that day forward.

At the door, Scott tried to sense the presence of Alva. Yet, he simply couldn't, much more Diana. Suspicious, he strongly believed that Alva uses Diana's blood to mask her nature from everyone else, just like the vampire from the lab whom Lucas encountered. The question remains, why did the nagua kept Diana like her own all these years?

Money and power have always been the absolute desires of a nagua. They are solitary beings who love a good challenge in a place where they can maximize their capabilities. They are always right, they keep a great fight and they are often out of sight.

"Why don't we just get in forcefully? Her room is in the large window on the left, right?", Lucas said as he walk to the side yard.

"For all we know, Alva may not even kept her here.", Scott exhaled sharply. "Nagualli are too smart.. they are very well planned", he added.

"Alright, I got an idea. Let's meet here before dinner", Lucas said as he hover around before heading out.

Days turned night to Scott who can't sleep a wink without an assurance of Diana's safety. With much frustration, Scott left the Woodsworth Residence empty-handed as he and Lucas go on their separate ways. The Alpha then headed to the SD Enterprises building to meet his executives and employees after a long time of being away. Arriving at the building, He wondered why the people stared at him like he doesn't belong where he is. He clenched his jaw as he entered the elevator. 'What's their problem?', he thought.

As soon as the lift went up to his office, he saw David, Austin and Damon gathered in the middle of the hallway like buzzing bees in the garden.

"Alpha??", Austin gasped and left his mouth open at the sight of Scott.

"What are you doing here??", Damon was even more suprised to see his brother as soon as the elevator opened.

"What do you mean? I… I work here", Scott squinted his eyes at the two wolfmen who seemed shock at his presence.

"You guys! Come and get in here", David snatched Scott to a smoking lounge together with Damon and Austin.

"Didn't you get my message??", Austin shut the door gently.

"I haven't checked. What's going on?", Scott is at a loss with the anxiety of the three. He sat down on one of the leather seats near the window.

"I had Jim inform you days ago, Alpha.", David said worriedly as he sat across Scott.

"Well, it hadn't arrived. Someone start filling me in", Scott replied as he lit a cigarette.

"A lot of things have changed ever since the full moon, brother…", Damon leaned against the wall staring at Scott.

"Hold on. Did you messed up or something? Are we bankrupt?", Scott asked Damon as he point a lit cigarette at him. "And you two, you're supposed to be in town, why are you here?", Scott then asked Austin and David who looked terribly anxious.

"Well NO!", Damon exclaimed as he stressfully fixed his hair. "You start telling David", Damon elbowed David as he feel nervous to inform Scott what have taken place.

"Did the employees mass resigned because of your incompetence? And why are we hiding? Are we hiding?", Scott impatiently asked. "Just fucking tell me before I throw you three out of the building", he hissed in flaring anger.

"Alpha, listen to me", David sat at the edge of his seat as he deeply sighed. "First… after series of interrogation on Sebastian, he was then convicted for the murder of Dolphus. The elders insisted on punishing Seb for the murder he commit. Of course Stanley and Priscilla meddled, and wanted to wait for you to decide on the final punishment.", David explained. "However, Stanley was too afraid that you may push the death penalty since you wanted to investigate on Seb first. And guess what? He allied with Alarick and Adoff.", he added.

"Desperate times call for desperate measures. What happened then?", Scott asked as he huff and puff on his cigarette.

"Now, Alarick is out of the cellar. I tried my best to keep him in but, it was a unanimous decision among the elders to give him a chance since they don't consider Diana as our real Luna. Elder Velvet was totally against it, but there's nothing we can do since it's only the two of us in agreement of the same perception ", Austin replied as he loosen his necktie. "So things have turned. Alarick and Adoff have been worming the heads of the clan to put all the blame on you for the lycan's appearance, the luna, and the killings.. Instead of putting you in jail, or punishing you with death, they insist on casting you out of the clan", he added.

"Stanley won't betray me", Scott looked down with the hope that the old man would stand by his side

"Well, I hate to disappoint you brother but he already did. Have you heard about blood is thicker than water? Stanley is doing everything to protect his only son. Even if it means that he'll betray you", Damon said as he sat beside Scott. "As we speak, what have been agreed is to have you replaced as the Alpha of the Grayback Clan, and the CEO of the company.", he shouldered Scott as he feel bad for his brother.

"Alarick and Adoff are still looking for the clan's new Alpha.. The clan has divided thoughts about it. Not unless they present a willing and fitting Alpha, the clan still sees you in authority.", Austin said as folded his lips in a tight line.

"As for the CEO?", Scott asked when someone opened the door.

"Who else do you think, Brother?", Sebastian suddenly blurted out as he entered the lounge.

"Sebastian", Scott have always known that Sebastian should have been the CEO of the company since day one. After all, that position is rightful to the legitimate son of the Devlins.

"Is it true that Diana works with a nagua?", Sebastian asked as he walk forward. "Did she partake in the death of Dolphus? Is it true that they planned and used me to kill the wise elder?", it can be felt in Sebastian's voice anguish and anger.

"You're friends with her, right Seb? You should know what kind of woman she is. …if she's capable of what you are accusing her", Scott stood up and met Sebastian eye to eye while everyone watch.

Sebastian swallowed a lump in his throat. He knows deep inside that Diana is a pure bright soul who values their unique friendship. In the short span of time that he knew her, Diana has been a great friend to him. "I don't know, Scott. But, if your Luna is innocent, she shouldn't go hiding.", Sebastian said without blinking.

Scott thought that he have heard everything he needs to hear. And right now, he just wanted to see Diana and be with her considering that beside Diana is right where he rightfully belongs. Leaving the room as he walk out, he turned to Sebastian and said, "I never blamed you for the death of Dolphus. Just so you know.".

Diana POV

I opened my eyes and instantly recognized the cream opulent ceiling of the room I'm in. The smell of the incense burning is unfamiliar and new, though. But the feel of the spring mattress with white soft covers and large feather pillows made my body haptically remember my own bed.

Wait a minute… when did I went home?

I sat up and realized I'm wearing my favorite white lace sleepwear. Looking at myself, I noticed that the moonphase watch Scott gave me is back on my wrist. When did I get it back? I sighed deeply and think of what was my last memory.

There was a tiny man who asked me to go out of the hut. Despite having doubts, my curiosity led me astray with a decision to open the door for him. He blew gold dust on my face and the next thing I know, I am in front of a large fire deep in the woods.

I was at the foot of an enormous tree when the thick smoke started to fill the air, making it difficult to breathe when standing. I crawled my way out to find a safe place where I can hide. Searching my way with my hands, I was crawling from the blazing fire when I accidentally touched a pair of small feet. It was the tiny man who brought me here. He's laying down on the ground with his arm burnt from the fire. I took the tiny man to a safe place where I can help him. Reaching a stream, I gave him water to drink and then dressed his burns. He opened his eyes and mouthed 'thanks', before going back to sleep. Then, I heard a very familiar voice talking to the wind just nearby. I followed the sound of his voice and saw Scott dazzling under the beautiful moonlight.

But, why did I ended up here? And where is Scott? Roman and Kristia could be terribly worried by now.

"Good afternoon, Doctor! Your meal is served, as always, in your favorite spot in the patio", an old man said.

"Hendrick?!", I opened my eyes widely at my beloved butler. I am really home.

"Here's your robe. Please come down, I know you are famished", Hendrick helped me stand up from the bed.

"How long have I been sleeping?", I asked.

"For two days, Doctor", Hendrick answered as he helped me wear my robe.

"TWO DAYS??", I exclaimed.

"Let's hurry, Doctor. You don't want to keep your guest waiting". Hendrick said as he rushed me out of the room going down the stairs.

"What guest?", I asked trying to catch of glimpse of the person waiting for me in the patio.
