Did someone called?

Dr. Blackwell gave me a side-eye as he fidget with his hands. "The room is really nice, perfect for Kate", he said with a smile.

I looked at him and saw worry in his eyes.. Is he caught up with something? I sighed a little and wet my dry, chapped lips. "For sure. But with all due respect, maybe we can offer that to other patients, Doctor. I'm sure Kate would be comfortable too with our other simpler rooms", I insisted.

He deeply sighed and grinned. "No further arguments on that then", he said. "By the way, here's your car keys. Do check your seat for me. because last time I rode your car, the driver's seat is creaky and jiggly. Just to be sure", Dr. Blackwell said as he put down my car keys, and mouthed a few words before he walked out the door.

I bit my lip lightly. Did I saw him mouth 'read between the lines'? Also, Dr. Blackwell haven't driven my car.

I hurriedly went out and headed on to my truck. As I started the ignition, I heard something beeping. I searched everywhere as I follow the sound.

Moving my hands under the driver's seat, I felt something small and round that isn't supposed to be there. When I stuck it out, the small round red light from the device blinks as it beeps. "It's a tracking device", realizing someone wants to know my whereabouts. I looked out the window and thought of Dr. Blackwell. What's going on?

I drove out from the hospital, and threw the tracking device out of the window. Trying to see if someone's following, I took a few turns around the city. Noticing no one's at my tail, I headed to my flat but I parked my truck a few alleys away to be sure. Then, I hurriedly walk to the building were I live.

Standing in front of the building, the warm winds blew as it gave me dèja vu. I took out the paper that I kept in my chest pocket squinted my eyes as I remember the nightmare I had before. The look of the de ay, the feels of the wind.. it was all the same in the dream. For the second time, my dream is coming to reality.

I walked in and hoped that the elevator is working. To my surprise, it's under maintenance. "Really?", I grunted and thought hard of the things that were about to happen next as shown in my dream. I looked around, no one is barely here.

I went to the fire exit and looked up to see the series of stairs with flickering lights in some floors. Despite having anxiety about what will take place when I reach my home, I still need to go up the 21st floor for the moonflowers.

Climbing up the stairs in rapid steps, I took my phone out to call Scott. After a few rings, a woman answered my call. "Hello? Who's this?", I asked. It seemed liked she couldn't hear me for she keep saying hello.

Then she hung up.

I called back again. But his phone is already turned off.

I continued climbing the stairs and felt my heart thump when I saw what floor I'm already in.

12th floor.

This is the part of the dream when a black figure will go up the stairs a few floors below. The lights started flickering. The silence is deafening. With my towering fear, I held on the rails as my palms get cold and sweaty.

Then, the unbelievable happened.

I heard heavy footsteps coming up. Afraid to peak down, I hurried my steps and didn't bothered to look. A few more floors and I'll be in my flat. Running like the wind, I whimpered at every step as I gasped for air.

When I reached the 21st floor, I opened the door and leaned against it as I catch my breath. Then, I slowly walked towards my flat and saw my door half open. Hesitating to go in, I gathered all my courage for Scott. When I get in, I smiled at the familiar face before I got knocked unconscious.

****************

The gods must be crazy when Scott left the bar with a random girl he just met. The pack couldn't believe their eyes seeing the Alpha let a different woman cling on to his arm. After seeing Scott leave the scene, they lost their appetite to get wasted or even party with other girls like how they are supposed to. They could only feel sorry for the Luna whose whereabout is still unknown at this time. Lucas and Cory sensed that Scott may be cooking something. For whatever it is, they intend to find what he is up to.

Scott rode his blue sportscar with Lily who's giggling and smiling all the way through. She felt like hitting the lottery when she stepped out of the bar with an Alpha. Scott started the car and turned on the airconditioner at low temperature. He can tell that Lily is in heat and ready to get laid tonight. "Wait here, I forgot something", Scott said as he stepped out.

Lily smiled sweetly in response. As soon as he's out, she took out a pressed powder from her purse and powdered her little nose. She practiced a few smiles, giggles and even moans. At the moment, she heard Scott's phone ringing.

Lily took Scott's phone and saw 'Luna' calling. She nonhesitantly answered the call and could hardly hear anything, just static and cracking noises. She repeatedly said hello until she heard a woman's voice asking who she is. Pretending she still couldn't hear anything, she hang up, turned Scott's phone off and returned it on the center console.

Scott got back, and without a word, he drove the car. "Show me the way", he said as Lily smacked her lips and guided Scott the way to her home. He noticed the difference in the placement of his phone where he left it. "Did someone called?", he asked.

"Yes, some woman. I couldn't hear her though", Lily said. When she tried to cling on Scott's arm, he flinched and held the steering with both hands to avoid Lily's clingy gestures.

Scott clenched his jaw as he speed up his car along the freeway. He ignored the conversations Lily opened, as he volumed up the music so can totally unhear her. After a few turns, they reached Lily's townhouse in the suburban. "This is your home?", Scott asked.

"Yes!", Lily excitingly said. "Let's go?", Lily said as she held her purse.

"Get out", Scott gritted his teeth. "And I'll see you tomorrow", he added.

Lily's face trembled at Scott's terrifying change in attitude. Earlier, she thought he was flirty and willing to spend the night with her. All of a sudden, he turned rough and cold. "What are you waiting for? Get out", he said as Lily went out of the car in disappointment.
