Alpha versus and Alpha

SCOTT POV

I made an important phone call last night before I dozed off to confirm my arrival today. With Ofir piggybacking invisibly over my shoulder, I arrived at the SD Enterprises Building wearing my all black suit and black tie. Today, I'm coming back to the company, and will make a stand for myself.

I'm never the type of person who sulk alone in a dark bedroom and cry my heart out. I don't drink excessively and party all night to sober up. I don't talk openly about my miseries. Keeping my emotions within me, I hide my true feelings behind my smiles, laughs and even my straight faces.

Now is a a bit different. I am angered, feeling my chest tighten from an extreme desolation that I can't easily let go of. The intermittent sleep at night and the bitterness in everything sweet, nothing feels better anymore.

On my way up, the elevator opened at the sight of the Alpha who would replace me. I've always expected him to be considered by Alarick to take my place to head my clan. Knowing he imprinted on my Luna too, Roman is the best candidate to be the Alpha of the Grayback Clan for Alarick to annoy me as he constantly does in his most perfect ways. Thus, I am here to fight for what's mine, and never let it go.

"Scott", he greeted me with a smirk as he walk through the long hallway from the reception.

"Roman", I gritted my teeth and hurriedly rushed over as I landed one good punch across his face making him drop on the floor.

And it felt good.

Above all the people I truly hate to see, Roman top the ranks. He stood up and faced me, wiping the blood trickling out of his mouth using his thumb. "You hit like a girl", he mocked.

"How about we try it again?", I said as I darken my eyes and release my rage aura on my fist. The lights flickered all together as the walls rumble. The people around sprinted away on various directions as soon as they felt the commotion between the two Alphas.

Roman met my glares and started to collect his power on both of his fists. Then, without a sign, we both lunged at each other at the same time as we exchange the strongest blows and heaviest kicks, left and right. We were all around the hallway destroying the glass tables, breaking expensive paintings, punching holes on the walls and wrecking the imported vases displayed along the hallway. Roman and I continued to measure each other strenghts not minding what were causing.

Not a single punch landed, as we both dodge in perfect timing. Roman is really a match to my strength. His agility and power complimented my rage steaming off my extreme anger and deep sadness. Alpha versus an Alpha.

We both backed away breathlessly. I loosened my necktie a bit, as he take his brown leather jacket off dropping it down the floor.

"She's not coming back, won't she?", he asked gasping for air. How did he know that Diana left? He stared deep into my eyes like he's reading my mind. "Why aren't you looking for her? Oh.. So.. you don't care about her anymore", he squinted his eyes not removing his gaze. "That's good, easier for me to have her.", he said in a serious tone. "Diana, my Luna", he mentioned the name of the person that made my heart stop. I stood frozen, softening my fists. That's the name of the person that I don't want to hear.

I only got to my senses when Roman was already a few inches from me about to punch me. I shielded my body with my arms as he land a punch. Surprisingly, Roman was kicked away to the other end of the hallway. I looked around me and realized Ofir covered me with his protective force field as it slowly wore off. "Nice job", I whispered at the invisible lythari elf whom I'm not sure where exactly he is.

"What the fuck was that?", Roman grunted as he stood back up. "You have a bodyguard?", Roman studied my face with his mouth open. "A lythari elf, really?", he said. Is he reading my mind?

He then covered his whole body with his aura, and smiled foolishly as he swiftly made his way directly unto me. With my feet apart, I swiftly headed towards him as we both landed a combination of heavy blows on our bodies until we separate.

He hit amazingly hard. It's good that he isn't holding back, like he is giving his full force to fight me. Something we both wanted to do in a long time.

When we were about to attack each other again, someone had the courage to break is off. "Stop, you two", Reina said as she stood between me and Roman. "This is not a good place to fight, there are humans here", she fearlessly glowered at the both of us.

"He started it", Roman replied in short quick breaths as he lick his lips.

"You deserve it", I said as I swept my hair back. Roman moved fowards when Reina held him back with her palm on his chest.

"Mr. Brooke, please. Leave.", Reina glared at him. "You're done here minutes ago", she added.

Roman scoffed as he picked up his rugged brown leather jacket. He never removed his gaze at me as he walk out. As he walk past me to the elevator, I sensed something different in him. Something stronger. "We're not done yet", he said.

"Tell when and where", I replied.

He turned back and said, "How about the next full moon?". Before the elevator door closed, he mindtalked me and said, "You already gave up on her, Diana is mine".

A part of me wants to cut the ropes of the elevator to drop Roman dead. Yet, a part of me wants to kill him with ny lycan claws on the full moon. Either way, I want him dead.

I heard Reina sighed in relief and ordered a few people to clean up the mess we made from the brawl. "You shouldn't have fought with him. Stooping down to his level is not worth it", she said with much irritation.

"Reina", I said with proper dominance. "Next time, don't meddle with my affairs, and do not approach me until I call you", I said as I walked ahead of her.
