Chapter 18: A Glimpse at Forever
CHASE'S POV
Now that the adrenaline had stopped pumping through her, she felt every ache from the night's event. Images of her attacker's masked face flashed before her and she began to tremble again. She glanced down at her torn pantyhose and ripped them off, shredding the nylon with her nails. She balled them in her fist and stuffed them in the trash. Placing her hands on the cool granite countertop, she took a calming breath.
She heard Grey call her name and she headed toward the bathroom. She quickly stripped and shrugged on a silky, rose colored robe. She padded into the bathroom, the floor cold beneath her bare feet.
Grey eyed her slim figure, the satiny material hugging her body in all the right places.
"I feel like you're picturing me naked," she teased.
"Oh, I definitely am. You look lovely. Enjoy your bath," he said, pressing a kiss to her temple before shutting the door behind him.
