Shock on Top of Shock

As the sun was setting, in a large plain of tall grass a small village was exceptionally quiet and tranquil. Nobody was outdoors and even the dogs didn't bark. In an unassuming hut in the middle of the village that was larger than the others, a young eight year old boy sat on the high seat surrounded by a group of anxious old men. He had his eyes closed and sat in a lotus position with his palms facing up but no one dared to disturb him. When he finally slowly opened his eyes a blue fire was burning in them and a third blue eye made of flame appeared on his forehead. He blinked once and it all vanished like it had never been there, but the old men all looked at each other to confirm they weren't hallucinating. The awed gazes they saw in each others eyes was all the proof they needed to know that it had just happened.

"My decent was eye catching and would have caught the attention of many powers of this world. I had already planned for this, they should be fooled that it is only a treasure, but for mortals an immortal treasure is still a big deal." The boy said calmly. " It would be a shame if they got here and did not find it, did you bring what I asked?" he said with a slight smile. "Yes almigh...Young Master." Chief Saito replied. Three elders stepped forward, the first placed a pile of arrows, bows and spears down, the second placed down various bones gathered in a large skin-cloth and the third placed down a few capes made from fur. "These are the finest weapons, and the bones and and fur of the strongest wild beasts we have hunted,Young Master." The elder who came with the arrows reported. He was a large man of almost seven feet and brimming with muscle, the head hunter Elder Moses. "Hmm" Philip nodded before stretching out his hand over the goods. A blue glow appeared on his palm, and when the light washed over the items over half directly disintegrated to ash. The entire room took a cold breath. That was refined weapons, high tier beast bones and skins and they just got destroyed with a wave of the hand. Didn't that mean any one of them even in full armour and armed to the teeth would not even know how they died if they provoked this child? Philip was oblivious to the reactions in the room as he picked up the three remaining arrows and observed them carefully. He then reached out to the tiger fur cape and plucked one of the canines of the tiger off. Using the sharp tooth, the blue glow returned to his palm as he inscribed mysterious symbols on one of the arrow shafts. He then removed the arrow head and replaced it with another one from one of the uninscribed arrows, and finally replaced the tail of the arrow with the one from the last arrow. The glow in his hand dissipated as he held up the crafted arrow and inspected it from all sides. "It'll do" he said.

Philip got up and walked out of the tent. The nine elders in the room looked at each other before gathering up some bravery and following him out. Philip walked back to the tournament ring where he descended and observed it calmly. He then used the tiger tooth to scribble arcane symbols into the ground around the area before finally stabbing the arrow he crafted into the centre of the symbols. A small tremor passed through the ground and a mild fog started to gather around the arrow. The elders felt their minds become clearer from inhaling the fog and were shocked yet again. "Lets head back, inform the villagers not to approach this place. " Philip said nonchalantly as he strolled back to the hut. "Go!" Chief Saito told one of the elders. The rest followed behind Philip to return to the hut and took their places around him.

"That was an [Immortal Slaying Arrow]. The materials were wanting but it is mighty amongst mortals. Within an hour it will gather enough Qi to even give immortals a scare let alone the mighty men of this world." Philip took the initiative to explain. "Such a treasure is not easily obtained, if any power intimidates you just point them to it and watch a show." he continued. "As for the matter of becoming a God Clan, there will have to be a blood ritual. Those are quite troublesome to set up, and the environment here is not conducive. At the very least, we will have to move the clan into the mountains, I'll have to trouble you to make arrangements." he said and reached out to pick up some bones. It was rib bones, and he broke them into short bone slips with a snap, for twelve in total. He took a slip and placed it on his forehead, before closing his eyes in concentration for a moment. "This is the [Mountain Body Incantation] an [Ancient Tier] cultivation technique for cultivation of [Earth Qi]. You nine elders will cultivate it in full, but you will also teach each and every clan member the first five steps of the technique. This is a minimum requirement to survive the blood ritual. Just hold the slip to your head and concentrate on seeing the contents." Philip said as he passed the bone slip to Chief Saito. He then picked up a second slip and held it onto his forehead again. "This is the [Iron Blacksmith Stele] cultivation technique for blacksmithing. Mastery of it will allow crafting of all immortal weapons under heaven. Learn the full technique and teach the first five steps to apprentices of your choosing" Philip passed the slip to Elder Charles. He then picked up a third slip. "This is the [Ten Thousand Cauldrons] alchemical cultivation technique. It describes all herbs under heaven and the pills that can be forged from them. Learn it well, and at the minimum, master the first one hundred thousand herbs and their properties. Teach the first twenty thousand to your apprentices. " He passed the slip to the elder with chalk on half his face, Medicine-man Mark. The three elders received the slips with trembling hands. "Mastery of the [Mountain Body Incantation] is a prerequisite to learning the other techniques. If you can learn all four your clan will be qualified to follow me." Philip then closed his eyes and returned to meditation like the matter was settled. This whole time no elder had dared to speak, because every word and action from this child was a shock on top of a shock.
