Acting Like A Little Girl

There was no bloodline determining the throne like mine, no witch prophecies like the source world lands, no bloodbath between candidates, with strength as the sole determinant of the king at the Fit lands, or even the vision of the holy gods, interpreted by the highest monks in the Tri lands.

Every kingdom here had its own virtues, rules of ruling, and as bizarre it might sound, I hoped to be not the heir to the throne of my lands, as living in another land would deem me fated to be enthroned as a queen.

It wasn't easy living a life full of lies, smiling in the face of the most closest, yet the most hated, people in your life. If I had a chance to magically transform my life into another land, I wouldn't hesitate, even if this would bring no throne upon me.

The life of freedom was all I yearned, truly yearned from my soul, and what made my life bearable was this little month I had here in these northern lands.

I passed the brigade, as I saw the distant shadow of the great wall. The estate I was heading to here was located on top of a hill, surrounded by a breathtaking terrain of green and vitality, with a large lake backing it up. After that lake, the lands of us would end abruptly with the lands of the Fate kingdom.

We never had a war recently with them, as for the last one hundred years, a king was never found. The royal sickle seemed to decide a play, a funny and silly play, hiding itself where no one could ever find it, laughing from its heart content at all those who sought it in vain.

The issue wasn't in the extremely weakened Fat kingdom, but in the infamous, treacherous lands lying beyond it, the Fit bloody kingdom. These people hated us so much that they interfered in the matters of the Fate kingdom, despite the obvious warning the Tri Land declared.

The warning of the holy king of the Tri Land couldn't be taken this lightly, even if lands upon lands distanced us from them. As the history book indicated, the supreme force rolling stone was always shifting from one land to another. The last to fall was the Tri Lands, as they reigned in the name of the holy gods supreme over the other lands.

They controlled the masses, and thus they didn't need to invade and march armies over any land to conquer it. ruling the minds was a dirty game, I hated, and they played masterfully, until their recent demise for the last century, with no other power to rise again.

So, we were constantly attacked for tens of years, by forces acting as bandits, moving deeply through the Fate Land, and finally invading us through here.

It was like this, pillaging villages, attacking peaceful citizens, and even plundering some main cities close to here. living here was a nightmare, until my grandfather acted, and a huge wall separated the two lands from each other, guarding us from any attacks and plunder.

To maintain peace, you must be stronger than others. That was what my great ancestor declared ages ago, and his wise words kept living until now, to be applied in the form of huge armies patrolling this great wall all the time.

Despite that, some rare incidents might happen, but I never bothered myself by these, as living here was my only way to really live. As I stepped into the main territory of the house I would live in, I took off my armor, my shield, and my faked life as a prince, and lived my true rightful life as a princess.

I didn't rush inside, quelling my unquenched desire to enter there and live my life freely, as I had to wait for the tired knights from chasing after me and sending them to their barracks. This piece of land, including the green paradise up there, and the lake behind it, was a private restricted area for them.

I didn't wait for long, as after half an hour, a cloud of dust picked up to me, with a group of one hundred knights running with foaming horses until they stopped in front of me.

I glanced at them, not caring by the upset obviously seen over their hardened faces from brutal battles, as I felt some admiration for myself. This little girl here had made all of you run after her, and you didn't even catch a glimpse of her shade!

"Prince Bill, please refrain from doing these reckless actions again."

A knight approached me, alone, as he said in an advising tone. I just glanced at this Richard, Richard junior, the head of my knights, and the most decorated knight in my kingdom.

What a hypocrite coward!

"There is nothing risky here, and blame your incompetence next time. if you were truly the legends I heard, then catching up to me wouldn't be this hard."

I saw a tired, helpless look over Richard's face, which made my day even brighter. I was a crown prince, even if faked one, even if this hypocrite knew about my true identity, no one could stop me and question me, not even my dear father.

I turned around, pushing Artax gently on the sides to start galloping inside, while my voice, masked with the disguise spell casted upon me, came to their ears:

"Go and live away from my eyesight. Take this time to train, and I hope the next time I see you after a month, I can notice some improvements."

I moved, with much joy and pride in my own actions and words, towards the distant hill, wrapped in much green that made my own soul bloomed with vigor like never before. I was enthralled like a little girl, as I was, in fact, this little girl.
