Once reached home, Nate left Scarlet on the bed next to Lara. As if ordered, the little girl crawled to her mommy and hugged her before falling asleep like a stone would fall in a well.
He chuckled, observing his girls. Their breathing was slow and funnily synchronised. With her eyes closed, Scarlet did resemble Lara a little. She looked calm, which made him chuckle for the second time.
«Let's go,» he said, then.
Jaden peeked from the door, questioningly glaring at his dad.
«Where?»
«I don't know. We'll think of something.»
«Now?»
«Yes.»
«And mommy?»
«She's sleeping. She won't need us for a while. We can do something together... Unless you want to stay here and bore yourself until they wake up.»
Jaden shook his head. His mommy and sister would need a lot of time to get up. Then even more just to be able to talk with him.
