Celeste Facultas

One day, Katsusagi Kimura discovers a strange rabbit on his shoulder. That discovery was the start of an adventure. Follow Kimura's journey as he treads through the secret society named Facultas. --------------- This is an urban, low-fantasy, fighting, story. There will be secret supernatural abilities, secret societies, and "some" drama regarding them. Mainly set in Japan. But there will be involvement of foreign countries. I will use (Family name) (Given name) format for names of most characters but for foreigner characters the format will be changed. -------------- This is my first time writing. Most of the stuff i write might be indirectly influenced by other popular shows/ mangas/ anime. Criticism is appreciated but don't spread hate just for no reason. Updates will be kind of irregular as I have no set schedule for them. English is not my first language. (It's my third)

Chapter 1 - Strange Discovery.

"....."

Katsusagi Kimura, a third year in high school, has discovered something rather strange.

"Why the hell is there a unihorned rabbit on my shoulder?" Kimura asked himself, as he looked at himself in the mirror.

"It doesn't even feel heavy." Kimura tries to lift the silver haired, fluffy tailed, unihorned, bean eyed bunny from his shoulder as he says so.

"Ah damn it! It's not budging at all!"

"Kgh!..." Kimura continues to try and lift the rabbit and fails. "Whatever. I'm going to be late for school."

Kimura resigns and starts to get ready to head to school. He brushes his teeth, eats his breakfast of simple toast. Nothing else on it. No butter, No Jam, No Peanut Butter, NOTHING.

"I should probably stop making this a routine."

Kimura sighs as he knows if he doesn't do this, he'll definitely be late for school.

Kimura looks at the rabbit on his shoulder and says "Hey, little guy. You wanna eat some too?" In a somewhat cute voice. Since he got no response, Kimura hurries to his room and changes into his uniform. Of course the rabbit didn't give him any privacy. The clothes seemingly passed through the rabbit as Kimura was putting them on.

"As handsome as ever." Kimura thought to himself as he looked in the mirror. His slicked back spiky yet silky hair, and above average looks complimented his simple school uniform; a buttoned, long sleeved, white shirt covered by a black blazer and a simple black pant with simple formal shoes.

Kimura looks at his watch and notices...

"Ah. I'm late. Now I won't make it till the first break."

Kimura wastes no time and rushes out of his small apartment and gets on his bicycle.

"Hope the chain won't give up on me today."

Kimura cycles through the streets at the highest speed he can. Kimura's school is at the edge of the prefecture. It didn't help that he lived 20 kilometres away from it. Kimura was also not much of a morning person. Sweat flowed down Kimura's cheek as he cycled through the streets.

Finally at exactly the start of the first break, Kimura made it to his school's gate which read "Saitama Faux Prefecture High School."

"(huff....huff....huff)....HEY! OPEN THE GATE!"

Kimura's shouting is met with a response. The security guard open's the gate and scolds Kimura

"Hey... Katsusagi. You're late again? How many times do I have to tell you to wake up earlier? I'm worried about your future man."

"C'mon! I have permission from the principal herself! Cut me some slack ..." Kimura nervously responds to the security guard with an awkward look on his face.

"Whatever. Get in." The security guard let's Kimura enter the school.

Kimura parks his bicycle at the shed and runs to the building where his class is. As he enters the hallway, he slows down and starts walking.

"Ah. The bunny is still attached to my shoulder." Kimura thinks as he looks at it. He notices no one else can see the bunny despite the weird looks he's getting. He can almost hear their thoughts...'He's this late? Is he a delinquent?', 'I know him.... He's always late.... How scary...he really might be a delinquent.' and so on and so forth.

Kimura heads to his class and settles down on his window seat at the back of the class. "I got the protagonist's seat yet nothing interesting seems to be happening in my life." Kimura thinks as he sighs and looks at the rabbit on his shoulder... "...."

"Nevermind, I stand corrected."

The bell rings signalling the end of break time and the start of the 3rd period. Kimura's day in school goes by quickly. He never interacted with his classmates as they always thought of him as a Truant or a Delinquent. He went to the Teacher's office and apologized to his homeroom teacher, He played volleyball during the P.E period, learnt new stuff in the other periods. His school day ends by the chime of the bell and he wastes no time to go get his bicycle.

"Oh come on! You were fine this morning!" Kimura shouted, clearly frustraed that his cycle's chain gave out; that too completely. His bicycle's chain was broken as if it was cut.

Kimura hates going home by the public transport bus as it was usually crowded by students after school. He deliberately waited for all the students to leave at the bus stop.

"I've already told the nice guard to look after my bicycle till tomorrow..." He thought. And continues thinking, "This little guy is still stuck to my shoulder. Is he actually real or am I losing it?". Finally about an hour and half later as the sun is setting, all the students left the bus stop that is exactly adjacent to the school. He got up and turned towards the bus that had just arrived. Suddenly, he heard a voice from behind that seemed harsh, deep yet carried a hint of feminine charm.

"Hey, you there."

Kimura turns around and sees a woman with shoulder length black hair, wearing a formal suit and pants with a tie and sunglasses and a pretty huge scar on the right eye that looks like it was caused by an animal's claw.

"Huh? Me?" Kimura replies unsure if the mysterious woman was actually talking to him.

"Yes. You. Isn't that Rabbit on your shoulder pretty heavy?" The woman asks pointing to the unihorned bunny on Kimura's shoulder.

"Huh?"
