30. Spending alot of his time in my mind.

Tenor POV,

" Hey stay still, I haven't even done anything and you're whining ?! "

"It may look small but it does hurt. "

"Okay, sorry I'll be gentle."

He doesn't say anything to that, am concentrating on it so that I don't hurt him more, "Does it still hurt ?" I ask but he doesn't answer , why is he so queit?

I raise my head to see what's with him only for my to meet his eyes staring at me iintently , my heart skip a beat the moment my own meet his, my head is just few meters away from his .

I want to look away but I can't, I want to move away but I can't, it's like something is holding me right there.

He is leaning towards me, damnit! Why the hell am I not moving away? He looks at my lips and then back into my eyes , I literally see him swallowing a bunch of saliva as if he's so nervous, my heart is beating so fast and noisly, he's so near that I could feel his breath on my face. "What are you doing??" finally some words find their way out of my mouth but in a whisper .

" I don't know." he answers in a whisper too.

Why am I asking him what he's doing instead of just moving away from him. My eyes drift to his lips too, slightly red and juicy, I move near to them unconsciously.

"Honey are you in here?" We hear Alexa's voice as she opens the door, we move away from each other in a flash .

" uh yeah.." he answers looking confused as he is not aware of what he was doing.

" I've been looking for you two everywhere, Tayler told me that you are here doing first aid, let me see, where did you get hurt? what were you doing in here? Oh right, jumping through the window, Tyler, how many times have I told you not to jump through this window?"

" Mom stop nagging, it's nothing, I need to go take a shower ."

He stands up straggling , Alex tries to help him but he refused, am standing there staring at nothing lost in my own thoughts.

" Tenor ,, can you help him to his room." Alex ask .

" No.. I can manage, am fine I don't need him to help me." he refuses in a high pitch ..

He walks out of the room .

Am still wondering what just happened some few minutes ago, was I really going to kiss him or am I imagining things, but why would I imagine something like that in the first place??

Alexa, " This boy.. why is he getting weirder and stubborn every single day, but am glad you two are atleast getting along now."

" Uh.. yeah me too"

" Come on , I'll introduce you to my family but be warned, they are so many people down there."

" That's okay , I mean, the more the merrier." I say knowing exactly that am never comfortable in crowds.

" How did you change this much, you never liked many people around you , and now you even smile and laugh, I can't believe I used to fear you, silly kid , hahaa.." We both laugh heading downstairs, "Hey , you better not forget who I am." I tell her trying to force my mind to stay with her.

" I had long forgotten that my dear." We get to the sitting room and all the attention turns to me , I see some young ladies there probably Tyler's cousins , they gasp after seeing me and I see my girlfriend throwing them dangerous looks.

Other older people and others just Abit older than me , she was right, they are so many.

" I was about to ask for your attention but seems like I don't need to do that anymore because I already have it." she says putting her hand on my shoulder.

"I have something to say to you, something that we've been hiding for so long ; my husband and I " Joe looks at her as if wondering what she's talking about.

Curiosity is written all over everyone's face, "this is Tenor and he's our first born that we had him when we were in college and we've been hiding him until now. " others gasp while others laugh , obviously not buying it .

" Hey , don't get heart attacks , he's our CEO, but he's family also." They all start talking at the same time .

" You even dare lie to your old mother." an old lady says coming towards us . "welcome to the family , you're at the right place." she says hugging me .

This feels just about good, to have people around you that are happy that you are there with them. 

More and more come introducing themselves to me , I must say.. I've never seen a family so United, it's just unbelievable.

"Oh Lexy, you made it.." Joe calls a name that is so familiar in my ears but haven't met the owner, lately I haven't liked so much when mentioned especially by Tyler.

Why is she here anyway shouldn't she be with her family ?

"Hey everyone, I know this is not my place but the owner is not here so I'll take his place, Meet Lexy.. Tyler's girlfriend." they're a lot of ' hi Lexy, nice to meet you, so beautiful' in the air.. actually she is pretty but so what.. am handsome too, what the hell am I thinking??

"Uh.. babe , should we tell them now?" Tayler comes asking.

" Hey Tayler, hi Tenor,, uh Tayler am looking for Tyler , where can I find him?"

" He's in his room."

" Thanks , I'll check on him there."

Wait what?? She wants to go in his room?? I've never been in there myself how can she go in there.. "He is taking a shower , why don't you just wait for him here, he'll be out in some few minutes." I oppose.

Tayler, "She's his girlfriend, so what's the big deal, besides, it's not like it's her first time to go in there, go on Lexy."

"But he.."

She cuts me " Leave them alone, why don't we tell everyone now."

Ugh! I just don't want to tell them anymore ,,, what if Lexy find Tyler naked, will th.. "Hey , what's your problem?" Tayler snaps her fingers in front of my face , "You seem so lost, you know that?! let's tel..." 

" Heey.. there you are , don't you remember what we planned last Thanksgiving dinner,, hi Tenor, can I please borrow Tayler for a minute , it's really important." I can't remember her name though she introduced herself to me .

" No problem." I say , Tayler looks at me as if she's so displeased.

But I don't pay much attention to that . My attention goes back to Tyler. Wondering what they are doing in there , why aren't they coming out. I haven't even thought of what happened in the store earlier, all I know is that he's been spending much of his time in my head lately.

" Isn't Tyler done yet , we're going to have dinner in few minutes, let me look for him!" Alex says standing up but I stop her standing up, " Let me call him."

"Okay, thanks."

Finally something to take me up there, as am about to knock on his door I hear his voice, "Am sorry, I promise I'll be a better boyfriend from now own."

Oh man, what a relief , I was dying thinking that they were making out or something but turns out they were fighting,,

" You always say that but never actually do it, is there someone else in your mind or what?" Lexy ask .

The moment I heard that I froze.

" What!? No , you know that you are the only person I've ever loved Lexy."

Ugh! I can't listen to that anymore " uh.. Tyler , you guys are needed in the dining." I say without entering.

" ju..st a.." I hear him stutter, I bet what am experiencing Tyler is experiencing it too , his reactions to me tells it all .

" Why are you stuttering for? We'll be there in a minute thanks." I hear Lexy's displeased voice .

" Sure"

I head back.

At dinner everyone is so cheerful, Tayler can't stop pressuring me to tell her family that we're dating , and my mind and eyes can't stop following Tyler who is doing his best to avoid my eyes.

Am the only uncomfortable person here , people are having fun , they are even drinking.

"Tenor, you don't drink?" Charlie asks.

" Uuh actu.."

I was just about to tell him that I don't really do alcohol when my words choked in my throat after seeing Tyler holding a glass to lexy's mouth for her to drink wine.

I take the glass that was next to me probably for Tayler because she's the one next to me and take it all in one sip unconsciously.
