Ch 1 : System Load

Raihan just your average joe, without anything that stands out. He finished his high school with an average grade that makes it hard to go to a state university that his parent wants. He hates sports cause it will make him sweat. Girlfriend? Girlfriend doesn't exist in his dictionary. It's not that he hates woman or can't talk to a woman, it's just they don't have anything in common to talk about.

Raihan loves to read a novel and web novel, especially where the MC got a system that motivates the protagonist to become stronger. But he knew that it's just fiction. There is no way system is exist in the real world right?

Today is the first day of college life for Raihan. His parent used all of their savings to get him to a private university in his city. Fortunately, it's just a B-rate university so the cost is not big enough to make their life miserable. But still, he won't be able to get an allowance and need to get a part-time job to cover it.

Ring ring ring~

Raihan tried to snooze the alarm to no avail. Apparently, he put his phone on the top of the drawer so he needs to get up to turn it off. He got up, took the phone, turns the alarm off, and continue to sleep. It seems the Lifehack that he saw on Youtube isn't really working that well.

"Wake up han, you'll be late. I told you not to play the game until midnight." Nur, Raihan's mother, came to his room and open the curtain. The light from the sun works really well against him. Nur has shoulder-length hair dyed with brown-ish colour to cover her grey hair. She maintained her face to keep looking younger but still, there is an ageing spot here and there.

"Just 5 more minutes."

"Han, your father and mother used all of our saving so you can go to university w-"

"Okay, okay I'm awake." Raihan immediately woke up, his mother always uses the same reasoning against him. And he never won even once. It's not fair! Well, he knew she's just joking, but inside he also knew that his parent sacrifice so much for him.

"Wash your face and come to eat breakfast"

"Okay"

Raihan took a shower and prepared everything for college. In the kitchen, his mother focus to make breakfast.

"Mom, where is dad?"

"Your dad leaves early in the morning." Agus (Raihan's dad) is a civil servant that works from 9 to 5. He rarely smiles, at least Raihan can count it with his hand. But he never gets upset at everything. He really has great control over his emotion. That doesn't make him unapproachable or cold. He remembers in his early day. He always plays with his dad, especially his sister Layla. Layla was like a tail that keeps following dad everywhere.

While his mother busying herself in the kitchen, Layla also woke up and sat opposite him.

His relation with his sister is like any other siblings out there, cold. His sister is three years younger than him. In the past, their relationship is quite close, just like any other kid that plays around together. But now, we have our own world.

"Han, this is for your lunch. Did you forget something? It's your first day of college, go back before dinner okay."

"Okay mom, today is just an introduction about teacher and lecture. It won't take that long."

"Take this, don't let your sister know about it" She put 50K IDR into his pocket secretly.

Raihan touched with his mother kindness "Thanks, mom...."

"Hurry up, it almost 9."

"Okay, I'm going mom."

"Be careful."

Raihan took his bicycle out. It takes fifteen minutes to his university. Bandung University is a private university that has a long history. But, because of corruption that occurred in the past. This university got less and less student. Now, Bandung university already got back on track. But, the past can't be erased. That's why Bandung University giving out many kinds of scholarships and also cheap cost for new student.

In the classroom

"That's it, don't forget to finish the review before midnight."

"Ugh." Almost everyone in the class made a grunt.

"Finally it's over. Han Dota?" Asked Raihan classmate in high school Bagas. Bagas also didn't make it to state university and decide to go to the same university as him. Bagas has a good looking face with Short curly hair. Not overly handsome but deserve a second look from a girl. His father is rich but he has two older brothers and one younger sister. That's why his father gives him the freedom to choose. Raihan gets acquainted with him in the high school Dota tournament. After that, he and Bagas became best friend.

"Yeah, you can play first. I will go to the bookstore first. Maybe around 7 or 8, I'll log in."

"Don't make me wait too long, I really need your support. I-I think I can't live without you anymore."

"Stop it dude, look! everyone is looking here. I am not gay."

"Hahaha... okay okay, then later, Han." Bagas stormed out of the classroom really fast.

Raihan needed to return the book that he borrows from the bookstore. The store is just 5 minutes from his home. It's a small bookstore that takes place in a secluded part of the city. I also didn't realize it's a bookstore until I enter it. Actually, the quality of the book itself is really good, the owner is an old man that has a perfectionist personality. So he cares a lot about the book and he also remembers the place of every single book in his store. It's almost two years now and he always comes here, again and again, to borrow some book from the old man.

Raihan arrived at the bookstore. As usual, the old man is reading a book at the counter. He took the book to the counter and placed it in front of the old man.

"Sir, I finished the book. I love it so much, the suspense is really good and the mystery also keeps me awake every night." Raihan enthusiastically talking about the book. At first, Raihan also came and take a look at every book in the store, but nowadays he just asked the old man to recommend him some good novel.

The old man took the book and gave Raihan a new book.

"Take this, don't open it until you get back at home." The old man gave a black cover book without any title.

"What is this?"

"You'll know it later." Said the old man while smiling. Raihan raises suspicion, but the old man never give him a bad novel so maybe this is also some kind of mystery novel.

"Okay then, I'll pay it with Go-pay as usual. Thank you, sir."

After parting with the old man, Raihan went back home to his room and open the novel.

Ding! "Host detected! Bound system! 1%"

"What? Where?" Raihan heard a voice in his head, but no one in his room except him.

"10%... 20%... 50%... 100%"

When the percentage is full, Raihan gets unconscious.

"Welcome to cashback system host, level one rate 25%"
