Choices

"Good morning," Kristofer smiled brightly at almost every person he met along the way to his office.

This must be a surprise for most of them.

Kristofer wasn't usually one who greets good morning.

But it seems Anna's power hug did work.

With his cup of coffee in hand, Kristofer walked briskly towards his office and immediately caught sight of a visitor he didn't expect.

"Grace," upon calling her name, Grace looked up.

She got on her feet and crushed Kristofer in a tight hug.

She spent the entire night crying. The cab driver did his part of driving her around until midnight.

Beyond that, he refused accepting any money from Grace. He needed to be home, he said and Grace had no choice but to ask him to drop her off somewhere else other than her place.

Knowing that she might no longer be welcome in Kristofer's condo, she went to the only other place where she knew he'd find him.
