Some Answer To Old Questions

Ellise sat down on the metallic garden chair, while the English woman served her an English black tea. There is also a tray of biscuits, and scones and fruit sandwiches on the table.

A two Asian looking woman, wearing a maid uniform can be seen standing on stand by at a safe distance away from them.

She smiled inwardly thinking, the current situation is so British.

The gorgeous English woman sat opposite Ellise and asked her, "Darlin, do you know who I am?"

Ellise picks up the teacup and sips her tea, before answering.

"I've heard about you from my aunt," she answered.

"Ah, yes. Your aunt. She knows me well." she said, grimacing.

A silence ensued between them after that.

Ellise just relaxes, enjoying the view of the rose garden and sipping her tea.

On the other hand, the woman is squirming on her seat and looks quite uncomfortable towards something.

Ellise is well aware of what's happening but she didn't react at all.

"Dear, I don't know where to start." she finally said.

"How about I ask you a question and you answer them," she suggested.

Which the woman agreed enthusiastically.

"The first question is, what do I call you?"

"Madame Bae. I'd like you to call me by that name."

Ellise raised her eyebrows in a questioning way but didn't say anything.

It made Madame Bae uncomfortable, even though Ellise is acting friendly and warm in front of her. Joy was right after all. This girl has a way of making people ill at ease.

She's an adult, but she feels like she has to submit to her. Yes, given the situation that she is the one who's guilty and being questioned. She can't help but feel amazed.

This girl has a gift! Imagine putting her in a boardroom, she thought. She could easily handle an empire and lead them while feeling bored. She grinned at how her thoughts are going.

"I want to be your friend." she heard herself say.

"I don't mind," Ellise said. "But, I don't like lies and secrets between friends," she said in all seriousness.

Madame Bae smiled and said, "Try me, darling."

Ellise arrived at the WIZ club just as the boys come back from their morning run.

It was Mantis who spotted her first.

"Hey! Ms. E, good morning! You are late for the morning exercise." he said shouting like he still has enough energy in his body.

"Good morning," she said bowing to Mr. Wan.

"Did we forget to have your ID in the system? '' he said, frowning on why she's outside.

"Nah, I just arrived. Nina had my biometric."

Mr. Wan put his face in front of the screen on the main door of the building and let the computer read his face to open the glass door.

Most of the members who were dead tired from the run, rushed inside either to search for food or take a shower. Except for DT.

He is leisurely walking behind.

He saw Ellise even before Mantis saw her.

She is wearing a leather miniskirt over black stockings, a black long sleeve turtleneck, under an oversized WIZ t-shirt uniform. She did what girls usually do when they wore a t-shirt that is too big for them. Tying the shirt end to a knot to emphasize their tiny waistline.

But it's not the tiny waistline, nor the black stockings that caught his breath in the back of his throat.

Ellise is sporting a ponytail! She exudes an aura of innocence despite the all-black outfit she's wearing.

"Meeting will be at ten!" Mr. Wan shouted to remind the boys that they lied down in the lounge as soon as they entered the building.

Ellise walks slowly inside, she doesn't know where she should stay while waiting for the meeting to start. She doesn't want to go to the cafeteria because she doesn't want aunt Lan Cheng to force her to eat breakfast. Nor does she want to sit in the lounge with the boys stinking with sweat.

"Good morning, Ellise." Nina's voice saves her from the last resort of holing up in her sleeping quarter.

She smiled and returned the girl's greeting.

"Have you seen the new design of the game floor?" she asked.

She shook her head, as she followed her to climb up to the second floor.

"Yo! Ms. E, you're back?" Grand asked. His hair is still damp from the shower.

"Just for the meeting. I'll still be outside until next week," she said.

"Ugh! Lucky you!" he yelled, going down the stairs in the direction of the kitchen.

"This way," Nina said, standing in the middle of the second floor. "Look," she said, gesturing to the game floor below.

She stepped closer to her to have a better view of the game floor on the first floor, which is now covered in floor to ceiling glass wall.

It looks like two circular rooms connected to each other with a passageway between two round rooms, housing all the computers of the team.

She gave Nina a questioning glance.

"Remember, I told you at your welcome party that I'm working on my thesis with the program you help me with two years ago?"

"Oh, sorry about that! I wasn't able to go to your University yet, I just came back to Shanghai yesterday"

"Don't worry about it. You got your new phone now?" she asked, with her palm opens asking for her phone

"Yes," she answered, giving her phone to her to scan her WeChat QR code.

"How do you like the new design of our game floor." Mr. Wan asked, approaching them.

"It looks cool."

"The cool thing about it is not the design, but its purpose and how it will function," Nina said, handing back her phone.

"Please take time to visit me at the University to talk about it."

"I'm free after the meeting today," she told Nina.

"Awesome! Then I'll wait for you to finish the meeting and let's go back to the University together!" she exclaimed excitedly.
