Proving A Point

She blinked her eyes, and put down her phone slowly on the table.
"Are you okay? Is there something wrong with your mother?"
Bae knew the situation between her and her mother. Thus, when she saw the confusion on her face, despite the face paint and the lace covering half of her face, she could not help but ask out of worries and not just out of curiosity.
"She's fine but it was strange."
Hearing that she's fine, Bae chuckled with relief. "You and your mother have always been strange."
She glanced at Bae and said in a small voice. "It is stranger than usual. She did things she doesn't usually do. I'm scared of what could be the reason for it."
"Did she say something?"
"She told me to check a link she sent me and to get back to her."
"Are you sure it was your mother who you talked to? Maybe it was someone pretending to be your mother and just wanting to phish your information out of you."
