Isabel Smith urged Raymond Thompson to eat most of the food, but she didn't eat much herself. Children generally eat slowly, so in order to ensure a balanced diet, she prepared some fruit for him after dinner.
After eating, Isabel took Raymond for a short walk, then gave him a bath, put him to bed, and told him bedtime stories in a low voice to help him fall asleep.
By this time, it was already 9:30 pm, and Isabel glanced at Percy Stanton, who still showed no intention of getting up. She looked at the mostly untouched dishes on the table, thought for a moment, and then microwaved them. Once they were hot, she sat at the dining table, stubbornly waiting for Percy.
After a while, Isabel checked the rice bowl, fearing that the food would get cold again.
Actually, she didn't really want to deal with him, especially since her neck still hurt a little. However, seeing the wheelchair in the infirmary and the bandage on his arm, her heart softened.
