Isabel Smith and Percy Stanton's bodies trembled at the same time, and then they felt a current surging out quickly from where their hands overlapped.
Isabel instinctively wanted to shrink her hand back, but Percy instinctively held her hand.
Isabel looked up, and Percy looked down, their gazes colliding with each other.
The man's eyes were very delicate, seemingly calm, and his deep gaze was somewhat charming. However, upon closer inspection, one would discover that beneath that calmness, there were surging waves of emotion.
Isabel felt that such a gaze was fatal, as if she could smell the scent of danger. She instinctively turned her head away, trying to pull her hand away, but Percy held it even tighter.
Isabel's body tensed up, and before she could look at Percy again, he suddenly spoke, "Is your foot better?"
Isabel was dumbfounded, then nodded and let out a soft "yes."
