chapter seven: It's payback time darling

Charles Williams POV

           Griiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnn,I woke up to the annoying sound of alarm. Pft ,I regret setting an alarm before sleeping yesternight and that was because I slept so late. It woke me up just at the time I was enjoying my sleep but then,it's already 6:32am and today is gonna mean hectic work for me since am signing a really huge contract from my in-laws company tomorrow because that's when their second vice President will be around. I wonder what they need a second vice President for though.

     I quickly dashed into the bathroom and took my bath in a flash. In some minutes,I was done dressing up and had picked up my notepad to inform my personal assistant and my secretary about the contract. I instructed Vivian to look into the Roberge's company vice President and how to coarse he or she into signing with my company. Vivian called back later to tell me that the person is anonymous and hardly attend meetings unless it was something so serious. And that when the person shows up , it's always with a mask,the person is rumoured to be quick-witted,spots mistakes far better than anyone and makes a good deal of it,with high IQ and EQ,cold and always indifferent, indignant and always finding faults,makes sure she wraps a person around her pink little fingers and uses them fully to the company's advantage, she's known as miss-no-mercy and her actions are not questioned by the CEO. Some people also said that it seems she's the real owner of the Roberge's family company.

          God!!!!!! how do I deal with this kind of person,I can't believe it's a lady that has all these characteristics. I later calmed my nerves and told myself it's gonna come out well before heading towards the living room.

       "Good morning everyone,how was your nights?" I said when I found everyone in the living room. They said it was great and I just said"alright". Linda looks so pretty this morning, seems like she's going somewhere or maybe she wants to visit her parents.

      "Linda,where are you going so early this morning all dressed up?,you look so appealing and gorgeous,I thought you do resume work at 9:00am and it's still 7:42am,did you perhaps want to visit your parents?,if so I would love to tag along cos I haven't seen my in-laws ever since we got married"I said but of course I had ulterior motives in mind. If I show up at my in-laws house today with Linda, they would be so glad and wouldn't need to ask for any cold vice-president's approval before signing the contract for me. I've invested so much into this contract that it would be a big blow to me and the company if I lose it,dad might even remove me from being the CEO of his company. Linda looked at me and scoffed,I could feel the distate in her .

          "I'm not paying any visits to my p parents,my boss called me so early this morning to tell me that we have tons of work to do today. He said he's gonna pick me up at home and am still waiting for him" Linda answered and I felt disappointed. I can't believe Linda actually dressed up for a man , how irritating!!!!!. I was so pissed that I didn't know what to say to her so I talked no more.

     Anna announced that breakfast was ready and we all were about to sit in the dining room when Linda's phone rang. When she told the person that she was done and just wanna have breakfast,I realised it was no one but her boss , he's the only one that got the nerves to ask her out for breakfast at a Spanish restaurant. She ended the call and told us that her boss said she should meet up with him in the new Spanish restaurant down the street so she can't stay for breakfast. With that she excused herself, picked up her coat and car key. Mom and dad nudged me to follow her up and take her to work, I later agreed to it cos I was in no mood for arguments.

         "How about I drop you off there,I also feel like having breakfast at that restaurant and having a little chitchat with your boss is gonna be great, you want refuse your husband, right?"I said to Linda  who was about to get out of the house and she said that it is not like she's refusing me but it wouldn't be easy for her to take a cab when coming back from work in the evening and that we can go in separate cars. I wanted to give in but the look on mom's face was so deadly and disastrous that I ended up telling her that I'm gonna pick her up from work at night and she nodded.

            "Which car are we gonna take?"she asked and I said "am gonna take the dark blue sports car that dad gave us as a wedding present because it matched with not only your coat,shoe and bag but also his suit".

          With that,she strolled to where the car is , opened the door and settled in while I went back into my room to up my notepad.

         "Charles, don't be so dumb,act like a real man. You should use this opportunity to get closer to your wife ,okay son? Mom adviced and I nodded . My mom is such a real problem,who knows,she might be watching us and I'd better obey her or face brutal consequences.

             "I later joined Linda in the car and off we went to the Spanish restaurant.

               "On getting to the place,I expertly parked the car in the garage and told Linda not to move. "Linda just stay where you are, don't move!!"I said to the confused looking Linda and alighted from the car door and held out my hand to her.

          She'd stared at me angrily and slapped y hand away,she then got out of the car on her own. I can't believe she took my gentleman act for granted,if not for mom I won't be here pretending to be caring. 

              She stomped out in anger and left me standing like an idiot. Her boss waved at her and she walked briskly to where he was seated whilst am trying to catch up with her . How can a girl walk this way ?. 

            She flirted with Kenneth and he did  the same,the way she treated him was quite different from how she does to me ,there are so many sides to this wife of mine . 

    After flirting with my wife in front of me, Kenneth extended his hands towards me and said "nice meeting you Mr Williams, you need not to accompany Linda actually but since you did please have your sit beside her". I couldn't resist the disgust feeling in me ,this man is with lots of guts ,if I wasn't here am sure he might propose to Linda.  "Nice meeting you also Mr Black, I didn't mean to accompany her,I just wanted to make sure my wife get to work safely, hope you didn't mind me joining you guys for breakfast or did I ruin something?"I said drily to him , shaking his hands and for some minutes we stared daggers at each other. 

           I really feel like tearing this guy apart ,how dare he plan on dating my wife . It would have been another case if Linda was just my girlfriend but she was MY WIFE, MY LEGAL WIFE. I can't tolerate this grave insult even if it means ruining that son of a bitch. 

             "Stop"Linda shouted and we earned  glances from those at me restaurant. On seeing that Linda was agitated,we retracted our hands awkwardly and sat down peacefully. This is no good place to fight over a woman. We all placed our orders and ate in silence. Her boss paid for the meal and dragged Linda outta the restaurant but then I felt like showing Kenneth that Linda was already mine no matter how much he covet her . I turned Linda around and seized her lips ,I was so fast that she didn't see it coming at all and could not protest against it .

              It  was the best out of all the kisses I'd ever had,those soft lips of hers tasted like grape and strawberry that I couldn't help but deepen the kiss. This is pure heaven,I belonged here ,why did I not consummate my marriage with Linda earlier?."It seems that I was a big fool ,I would stop fooling around as from now on"I advised myself. I can't believe I have that strawberry soft pink lips to myself.

             I later pulled out of the kiss and carried her into the car in a bridal style whilst her boss was watching. It's time to pay him back in his own coins, he should feel what I felt when he came to my house to pick Linda up the other day.

        I placed her in the car and went over to take my sit in the driver's place . I was still thinking of teasing her when she hit me, it seems she just recovered from the sudden kiss I gave her and also found out that I did it because of Kenneth. "I hate you,I hate everything you,why did you do that Charles, you are a fucking bastard, what gave you the audacity to kiss me in a public place you sly fox, Hun?tell me!"she said obviously pissed and furious but I didn't care and teased her instead. "Baby, what do you mean?, aren't you my wife?,did I need to get anyone's consent to kiss you?,why cursing when am sure you enjoyed every bit of it" I teased and she said no more. 

        I drove off to her place of work and it was kind of awkward because both of us said nothing throughout the ride. Linda was so ready to depart from me that she got down immediately I arrived at her place of work. Her co-workers all encircled around her when she got down , although I couldn't really here what they are saying but the look on their face showed that they were so pleased with me . 

            Linda stayed there till they all spoke their minds and was about to leave the spot when a thought hit me . I hurriedly got out of the car and took long strides to her side,I then sneaked my hands on her waist and told her not to go  fooling around with her boss and wait for me tonight that I want to introduce my girlfriend to her . I then made her face me and kissed her tempting lips before driving off.  

            It's payback time darling,I would let you feel what it means to flirt with other men , luckily for me Vivian agreed to date me when I called her this morning. I can't wait to show Linda what it means to cheat on one's partner.
