Grown Up.

They walked out of the restaurant hand in hand even after Camilla protested.

Chris had a warm smile on his face as he held her hand and she decided to let him hold her.

"Where are you taking me now?" she asked.

He opened the car door for her, "You will see" he answered.

Camilla took her seat and watched him get in.

They drove for a while until she realized they were heading out of the city.

"Are you kidnapping me?" she asked.

He nodded. She laughed.

"You know we both have important businesses to run and can't be away for too long," she said.

"Just a few days," he said.

Camilla frowned, "And what is a few days to you exactly?"

Chris chuckled, "Two weeks "

"Stop this car right now " she slapped his arm.

Chris parked and turned to face her.

"We can't leave for two weeks, if that is your plan then turn the car & let's go home " she stated.

"But I have a surprise waiting," he said.

"Then let it find me home " she frowned.

He moved back to his seat, "Okay let's make it five days " he bargained.

"Three," said Camilla.

"Four," said Chris.

"TWO," said Camilla and "if you try to go higher than that am leaving "

Chris gave up and nodded. He started the car & drove off.

Camilla's mother who had just returned from her trip found her husband watching the entertainment news.

"What is so entertaining that you also watched that channel?" she asked taking a seat.

"Our daughter," he said pointing at the screen.

Mrs Smith's flawless face seemed to get pale with every image displayed on the screen.

If was her, her daughter Camilla again with that crazy bastard. It looked like they were in a restaurant. The smile on her face showed how much they were enjoying each other's presence.

Their outfits seemed to match. This was going to set fire to the entertainment industry. Why of all people had her daughter fallen for him in the first place.

The news read how Camilla and Chris must have been seeing each other but in secret. Too dissolved in their world they didn't notice that the industry had caught up.

Camilla's mother got up holding her phone. She called Camilla but got no reply even after trying three times.

She thought her daughter was avoiding her making her pressure go even higher.

"Let her be, she's a full-grown woman. Camilla can take care of herself " her father said.

"Do you remember what happened after we let her make personal decisions for herself "

"But that is all in the past, even without her memory, our daughter's heart will always belong to him and we have to accept that ".

He pointed to the screen that was still displaying their daughter's images.

" I mean look at her, she never smiled like that even after we gave her everything. It was Chris who always brought out the best in her and if he's decided to fight for their love then who are we to stop them ".

"We are her parents and we still need to protect her ".

" We can't protect her forever. I know what happened in the past left scars on our hearts but this is a new beginning for them, let's give them another chance ". her father said.

" And if she's hurt again?" tears had formed in her eyes.

Camilla's father got up hugging his wife, "Then we do what needs to be done and be there for her as her parents ". he smiled.

She sighed and nodded. He always knew how to calm her down.

" What do you think they are doing?" she asked.

"Can't say, probably having fun somewhere else?" he said.

Camilla felt her head hurt, she jumped out of the car and slapped Chris's back a few times.

"This is all your fault, I told you we should have just gone home instead " she continued slapping him.

Chris stepped back avoiding her slaps, "Am sorry love, I didn't know the car would break down "

Camilla was fuming with anger, it was late, with no car available to help and she was starving.

"Of course, you didn't know cause you're not a mechanic " she shouted. Walking back to the car she got in.

Chris followed her and locked the car. They sat there in silence without saying a word.

"Hungry?" he finally asked.

"Why? are you going to feed me the car tyres?"

"No " he moved to the back of the car and got a box out.

He passes her a bag of her favourite chips. She looked at him and frowned.

"Packed them before we left, so you could have them on our way in case you got hungry " he smiled.

She took the bag of chips and giggled.

He watched her eat.

"Have some too, they are too many for me to finish " she said.

"Why don't you just feed me instead, my arms hurt from all the driving and trying to be a mechanic a while ago," he said.

Camilla giggled even more, "Come here," she said.

Chris came closer, she kissed him.

"Thank you for your hard work " she kissed him again.

His black cold eyes seemed to warm up, "On second thought, why don't you just keep kissing me " he said.

She moved back and pushed a chip into his mouth.

"Eat that instead " she laughed.
