Called To Another World

Ron is living a completely normal life with his friends until they're all summoned to another world as its heroes. It's good that death isn't permanent for them, but these high school students were given a really big responsibility! But that's not all, it seems that this is something bigger than simply being summoned to another world... This web version makes some improvements here and there but because of when it started, it may be a bit rough.) A few sections were written by my friend LOTWarrior117 and the original four stories were edited by him. Some parts of the story were written based on suggestions by ChromeDeer, another friend of mine. Also, the glossary (https://www.scribblehub.com/series/195239/called-to-another-world/glossary/) contains spoilers.

We Want To Go Back

The summer was going by pretty quickly. My family just got a new cat and I was pretty happy where I was, but something had been bothering me for a while. My mind went back to my first night back home. Did I really just imagine that figure outside of my window? I felt like the image I saw was way too clear for it to just be my imagination.

Through all of this, I couldn't help but wonder what my friends were up to. Did they miss Dovacath? I know I sure did. They said everything there was a set-up, but I felt like there had to be a bit more to it. For a faked adventure, the effects were real professional. Almost too professional.

"What are you doing, nerd?" my brother asked.

"None of your business." I responded.

I was writing in one my notebooks, recording what I went through in Dovacath.

"What are you writing?" he asked.

"A story." I answered, "It's nothing you need to worry about."

"Whatever." he said.

This guy could be pretty nosy from time to time, so I wondered if I could even talk about what I went through. He might have known a bit of something. He had to since our parents sent me away to that place. However, I highly doubt he knew a thing about Dovacath.

"So... you haven't said much about the time I was gone." I said.

"Mom and Dad just wanted you to get out of the house." he said.

"I understand that," I replied, "but that was quite a weird place to send me to."

"It was weird?" he said.

"It was some weird medieval-themed town that sent us on some dumb fake adventure." I continued, "That was a bit much for me."

"Sounds rough." he replied.

Things went quiet. I couldn't think of anything else to say.

"That's all." I said, "I don't really have anything more to talk about."

"Right." he said, before walking away.

I had to know what my friends were thinking, so I hurried to the phone and dialed the number that Jason had given me.

"Hello?" said Jason.

"Hey," I said, "can we talk... about Dovacath?"

"What about it?" he said.

"Want to go back?" I asked.
