Called To Another World

Ron is living a completely normal life with his friends until they're all summoned to another world as its heroes. It's good that death isn't permanent for them, but these high school students were given a really big responsibility! But that's not all, it seems that this is something bigger than simply being summoned to another world... This web version makes some improvements here and there but because of when it started, it may be a bit rough.) A few sections were written by my friend LOTWarrior117 and the original four stories were edited by him. Some parts of the story were written based on suggestions by ChromeDeer, another friend of mine. Also, the glossary (https://www.scribblehub.com/series/195239/called-to-another-world/glossary/) contains spoilers.

More Holidays

Thanksgiving eventually came and I was kind of expecting Miles to show up and do something, but that never happened. I just ended up having a normal Thanksgiving with my family. However, after all of the stress I had dealt with, I wasn't really getting along with them at all. We weren't fighting often. I just kept to myself.

Thanksgiving soon ended and then we were forced to go back to school. I was really grateful when our winter break came so I could finally relax again. I was so tired of everything that had been happening at school. In the middle of our break, I received a letter in the mail. It turned out to be from Jon. He was inviting us all to Dovacath for another Christmas party.

I figured there wouldn't be any harm in going again since it had been some time since I had seen everyone. As I headed toward Dovacath on the day of the party, I found Mikaela outside. I wasn't sure what she was up to.

"Where are you going?" she asked.

"Somewhere." I answered.

"So do you not know or do you just not want to tell me?" she asked.

"Yes." I replied.

"Be careful." she said, before vanishing.

"W-wait!" I responded.

She was gone before I could even ask her what she meant by that.

"Ron?" said a familiar voice.

"Jesus!" I exclaimed.

"Neither of us are Jesus." replied Jon's voice.

"Oh, it's just you." I said, turning around.

"Who was that?" he asked.

"A friend from school." I answered, "I really don't know what she's up to."

"So she's keeping weird secrets?" said Jon, "Reminds me of someone else I know."

"So, who else is there?" I asked.

"Everyone from our last outing should be there." responded Jon.

"I see." I said.

When I got there, even from our last outing really was there.

"Okay," said Jon, "I got you all gifts."

"We're starting with the gifts this time?" asked Jason.

"Am I going to get a rock again?" I responded.

Everyone was handed their gifts. We each got a normal item. Mine was a stuffed cat.

"W-what am I supposed to do with this?" I said.

"I thought you liked cats." said Kevin.

"Yeah, but aren't I little old for this?" I asked.

"What," said Harold, "afraid we'll laugh if you sleep with it?"

"I'm not sleeping with it!" I exclaimed.

"Oh, is it because you'd make your girlfriend jealous?" asked Kevin.

"Don't have one." I responded.

"Boyfriend?" said Harold.

"I'm not gay!" I responded.

We ended up having a little fight after that and then the next thing we knew, knives started flying at us.

"W-what the hell!?" exclaimed Jon.

"Don't mind me." said a voice that we weren't expecting to hear.

"Jeff!" exclaimed Lucas.

"The one and only." he replied.

"What are you doing here?" asked Jean, clenching her fist.

"Just had some business to take care of." he said.

"What are you talking about?" asked Erica.

"For my next project, I need blood." he said, "I figured I could get some from you."

"Use your own, jackass!" exclaimed Elijah.

"Oh, but that's no good." he said, "It says I have to use the blood of my enemies."

"Oh, we're doing this again?" said Donovan.

The next thing we knew, he was running towards us with a knife in his hand.

Jason then ran at him and struck the knife with his sword. Jeff continued to block as Jason kept swinging. I just stood there, unsure of how to react to the fight that had just started.

"Hey, Ron." said Jason, "Are you actually going to do anything or are you just going to stand there?"

By this point, I had used my power so many times and I had finally realized that there was more that I could do with it. I could do more than just spawn cats. That was something that I had learned from experience. I created a cat-sword and joined in. We kept swinging our swords to block Jeff's knife until Elijah started messing with his watch. This is when time froze. However, Jeff was still moving. Everyone near him wasn't frozen.

"What the hell!?" exclaimed Elijah.

"Did you really think that cheat would work?" he asked, as his knife scratched the side of Elijah's face.

"Augh!" exclaimed Elijah.

"That'll do." said Jeff.

"Huh?" I responded as time returned to normal.

"What just happened?" asked Kevin.

"I didn't get to do anything." complained Eric.

"Seriously, what the hell was that about?" asked Jon.

"I told you I needed blood." said Jeff, "I got what I came here for."

"This doesn't make any sense!" exclaimed Lilith.

"Is this fun for you?" asked Jean.

"...Yes." he said, before running off.

"I'm gonna freaking kill him." said Erica.

"Just let it go for now." said Jon.

"Well," said Lucas, "now that that's over, what do we do now?"

"I guess we can just enjoy the rest of our Christmas party," said Jon, "as long as there won't be anymore interruptions."

"Like someone trying to kill us?" asked Harold.

"Please don't say stuff like that," I said, "You're only going to jinx the whole thing."

"Don't worry about it." said Jon, "We'll be fine."

The rest of the day did go fine. We didn't have to worry about Jeff, but I did wonder what he was planning. We also had to heal Elijah's injury. To be honest, we just slapped a bandage on the side of his face and called it good. Then we all went home, wondering what Jeff needed the blood for.
