Gaz x Y/N

The sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over the rooftops of the city. The air was thick with the sounds of the streets below, but up on the quiet balcony of their apartment, Gaz and Y/N were wrapped up in their own little world.

They often stole moments like this—snatching brief escapes from their hectic lives in the military. Gaz leaned against the railing, his playful smirk making Y/N's heart flutter. "Isn't it wild that we can have this for ourselves?" he mused, glancing at the sunset.

Y/N smiled, a warmth blooming in their chest. "Yeah, just us against the world. We should do this more often."

With a teasing glint in his eyes, Gaz stepped closer, gently grasping Y/N's waist. "What if I told you I'd prefer to keep it just between us?"

Before Y/N could respond, Gaz leaned in and captured their lips in a soft kiss. The world around them faded away as they melted into each other, lost in the heat of the moment—until a sudden burst of laughter from the adjacent balcony snapped them back to reality.

"Well, well, well! What do we have here?" Roach's voice boomed, followed by the equally exuberant laughter of Soap.

Caught mid-kiss, Gaz pulled away quickly, a mix of embarrassment and annoyance flashing across his face while Y/N's cheeks flushed a bright red. They spun around, feeling exposed under the amused gazes of their friends.

"Could you two get any more sappy?" Soap teased, leaning against the balcony railing, arms crossed, an amused grin plastered across his face. Roach stood beside him, shaking his head with an exaggerated look of disbelief.

"We were just—" Gaz started, his voice trailing off as he struggled to find an excuse that wouldn't sound ridiculous.

"Just what? Practicing your lip-locking skills?" Roach chimed in, laughter dancing in his eyes. "Because I think you nailed it!"

Y/N buried their face in their hands, mortified, while Gaz shot his friends a glare that would have melted steel. "Come on, guys. Can't a couple have a moment without the world crashing in?"

"Not when those moments include enough heat to start a fire," Soap quipped, unable to contain his laughter. "I mean, honestly, you should've at least locked the door!"

Realizing resisting them was futile, Gaz rolled his eyes, a smile creeping onto his lips despite the embarrassment. "Fine, you caught us. Can we at least have some privacy now?"

Roach raised his hands in mock surrender. "Alright, alright. We'll leave you to your... passionate adventure." He shot them a wink before turning to Soap. "How about we get some beers?"

As they retreated, Gaz turned back to Y/N, a mixture of amusement and irritation in his expression. "I can't believe that just happened."

Y/N giggled, shaking their head to dispel the embarrassment. "At least it wasn't a complete disaster. They'll forget about it in no time. We'll just have to be more careful."

"Or we could just stop being so obvious," Gaz suggested, grinning. "But where's the fun in that?" He leaned in again, placing his hands on either side of Y/N's face. "I'm not letting them ruin this moment."

With that, he kissed them again, more determined than before, as if the world outside faded entirely. As the sun set, casting shadows over the city, their laughter and affection echoed into the twilight, solidifying the bond that was theirs alone—one that even Roach and Soap couldn't interrupt.

In that moment, nothing else mattered but the lingering warmth of their shared kisses and the promise of many more moments, hidden and stolen, against the backdrop of their chaotic lives.
