Chapter 5 CHAPTER

　　I arrived in my apartment in Hongdae at 7 in the evening. Once I entered the lift, I immediately press floor 17 but of course a lady same age as mine has run through the doors at the very last minute.

　　“Hi!” I warmly smiled and greeted her.

　　“Hi! You’re new here?” the short haired-girl with a fair complexion and sexy body greets me back. Her nails were too long and she wore perfect flawless make-up. Her black outfit exuded power. “Oh, we’re going to the same floor I see.”

　　“Is it nice here?” I started to ask her a question while the elevator is going up.

　　“Yeah, this place is safe but I don’t live here. I just came here to visit a friend.” She answered. “I’m Mia by the way.

　　“Aera. Choi Aera.” I reached for her hand and I felt her firm grip. When the elevator stops, she released my hand and waved goodbye at me and started walking down the hallway. I saw her entered in the room 401 just beside my apartment.

　　A guy opened the door and he kissed Mia on the cheek. I step a little backwards to see the guy’s face but he just shut the door closed.

　　As soon as I entered my bedroom, I put my things on the floor and collapsed onto my bed. I didn’t have time to checked on my apartment’s design because I really felt tired.

　　Tomorrow is undoubtedly going to be an exhausted day. I have to get early in the hospital tomorrow morning. Before I let myself asleep, I took a quick shower and blow my hair dry. Soon enough, my fatigue and drowsiness overcomes me. I texted Cheol that I arrived safely in my apartment before I drifted off into a restful sleep.

　　As I walk down the hallway of Seoul hospital, I can see glares from people walking by. I headed on one of the hospital doors grabbing the cold handle and pulled it open. Entering the foyer, my eyes flicker everywhere inside the room.

　　“Good morning!”

　　“Hi! You must be Dr. Choi Aera.” A tall and handsome doctor greets me. “I’m Dr. Hong Jisoo but you can call me Josh. I am a cardiologist.”

　　“Hi Dr. Josh, nice to meet you.”

　　“I was assigned to take you on a tour before sending you to Orthopedic Department.” He started.

　　“Oh, thank you Dr. Josh!”

　　I followed him as he walk out of the door heading his way to the locker area. “This would be your locker. You can put all your belongings here and this white coat is for the beautiful doctor named Choi Aera.”

　　“Thank you so much Dr. Josh.”

　　“Let’s go! I’ll show you around.” He leads the way as we explore the whole building. From Pediatric Department up to the Emergency room and to the terrace and garden of the hospital.

　　And finally, it’s lunch time. I followed him as we entered the cafeteria and headed his way to the other doctors presented. As I sit across the table, Dr. Josh introduce me to them.

　　“Hi doctors! This is Dr. Choi Aera, the new comer from San Francisco. She’s an Orthopedic Surgeon. Dr. Aera, this is Dr. Boo Seungkwan, he’s the head of the emergency. Dr. Moon Junhui from Pediatrics Department and Dr. Kim Jennie from Neuro Surgery.

　　“Hi everyone! I’m looking forward to work with you all.”

　　“Hi Dr. Aera, nice to finally meet you. You will definitely enjoy your work here especially if you always come along with me.” Dr. Boo greeted me first.

　　“Dr. Aera, don’t believe Dr. Boo, he’ll just drag you drinking alcohol everyday.” Dr. Jun who is the tallest of them all has a great personality and a Chinese doctor I think.

　　“Dr. Jun, are you trying to destroy my image on her first day?” Dr. Boo’s annoyed expression but he knows that Dr. Jun was just teasing him.

　　“Oh my. I’m sorry hahaha I didn’t mean that! Dr. Aera, believe me, he’s the coolest doctor here, right Dr. Jennie? Dr. Jun turn to look at Jennie who was busy eating her lunch, not taking a single glance on me.

　　She just shrugged on her shoulders and continued eating. I, on the other hand didn’t mind her at all. I laugh on Dr. Boo and Dr. Jun’s funny stories about each other.

　　When the lunch is over, I finally entered my own room and I love it. This is way bigger and more beautiful than my Ortho room in San Francisco. The wallpaper designed with the combination of cream and baby blue color. I have my own bathroom and a bed where I can sleep for an emergency call in.

　　My first day ended up so well. I decided to buy some groceries before heading home and as I wait for a cab, I saw Dr. Jun’s car passed by infront of me and Dr. Jennie on his passenger's seat. Are they a couple? Well, I think it’s not my business anymore.

　　I got all of my favorites and necessities any fridge needs. Milks, juices and fruits and a variety of small snacks and of course, my favorite! Lollipops!

　　I left the store with four bags and called a cab to ride home. I think I should be getting a car to make my life more convenient.

　　When I reached my apartment, I saw the elevator was about to close and I run my life to stop it from closing.

　　“Wait! Wait! Oh my God! Oh, Thank you!” I was panting heavily when I finally entered the elevator. I looked up to check on the person who stopped the lift from closing and I saw that hawk-eye again like digging a hole through my soul as he looks at me. A chill creeps down my spine when I realized it was him.

　　“Oh sexy, it’s you again!” I smiled widely but that exact moment is when everything falls out in one of the plastic bags I’m holding, spilling all the things I bought onto the ground surrounding me and Mr. Officer.

　　I felt my cheeks burned hot from embarrassment. I rolled my eyes and sink down on the floor to pick up everything when I saw him help me pick up the groceries.

　　“How could you be so clumsy?” His eyebrows furrowed.

　　“I’m sorry. You live here?”

　　“Obviously!”

　　“Oh okay. So, I’ll be seeing you always?” I decided to tease him again. He just stared at me and ignored my question. This officer is so arrogant!

　　When the lift finally opens, he stepped out of it and with a long stride, he left me. “Thank you so much, sexy!” I shouted.

　　He stopped from walking and turned his back on me. “Can you please never call me that?”

　　“Then tell me your name?”

　　“No!”

　　“Oh..You’re so cute when you blush, sexy!” I teased him again.

　　“Call me Officer Jeon!” And with that, he entered the room beside mine and I was left dumbfounded.
