Chapter 10 CHAPTER

　　“Officer Jeon? Are you in there?“ Officer Jeon knocks me off of him and onto the other side of the couch. He fixed his shirt and brush his hair with his long fingers before standing up to open the door.

　　“Hi! Oh.. you have a visitor?” Mia greets me as soon as she entered the living room. “Aera?”

　　“No! She’s not my visitor! I’m sorry doctor but you have to leave. We have some important things to do.” Officer Jeon exclaimed.

　　He opened the door for me and I glared at him but he avoided my gaze. I bow my head down before going out and gets inside my own apartment.

　　What had just happened? What important thing they would do at this time? It’s 1 in the morning!

　　I took a long shower taking the lust and desire away from my body. I don’t know why I even bother to waste my time thinking about him when it’s clear that he doesn’t really like me.

　　After tonight, I am beyond done trying to be friendly with him. I can’t believe I kissed him and that was the biggest possible mistake I could have made.

　　I woke up feeling the back of my head throbbing and sleep trying to drag me back to the bed. Thankfully it was my rest day.

　　Slowly, I set my foot into my slippers, ambled out of my bedroom and storm around the kitchen turning on the coffee pot before heading to the bathroom to take a shower.

　　After putting on my shorts and a pink hoodie, I put my hair up in a messy bun. I picked up my mug and grab my lollipops then headed to my balcony.

　　I was scrolling on my phone while taking a sip of my coffee when I heard laughters from the balcony beside me. When I look up, I saw Mia and Officer Jeon.

　　It was my first time seeing him laugh and he’s gorgeous. I feel sad that I’m not the reason behind those smiles and laughters. If he isn’t shouting, he usually frowns when he’s with me.

　　And Mia is still there? The thought of them slept together made my heart bleeds. Why do I care anyway?

　　I clumsily put the mug down on the glass table making a loud clank and shove the lollipop inside my mouth. I can see from the corner of my eye that they turn their heads on me.

　　“Good morning Aera.” Mia happily greets me.

　　“Oh hi! My apologies…Did I bother you two?”

　　“Oh no! Not really!” she said. Officer Jeon stared at me but I ignored him. I continue scrolling on my phone but I can still feel his gaze on me. I shiver when I felt the cold breeze penetrating in my skin.

　　I arise from my seat and gets back inside my apartment. I really hate the scene infront of me. I decided to clean my apartment and do the laundry. After making myself busy, I took a long shower at 6 in the evening.

　　I chose a pink skirt that stops below my knee and a white long sleeves then put on my sneakers. I grabbed my purse and headed outside. There was a good restaurant right off the building that I saw when I was heading home from the hospital yesterday.

　　When I get inside the restaurant, an old lady walks to my table and handed me a menu. I gave her my order and while waiting, I roam my eyes around the cozy restaurant and I saw Officer Jeon and Mia seriously eating their meals. They’re just three tables away from me.

　　He’s wearing a black fitted shirt that emphasized his muscles and broad chest. He’s really sexy. And his sharp jaw moved sexily as he chew the food he was eating.

　　I quickly averted my gaze. I do not want him to get the idea that I was checking on him. I focused my eyes on the people coming in and out of the main door when three men with tattoos entered and one of the men meet my eyes.

　　“Hey there beautiful!” the tallest man sits beside me followed by the two who sits on the vacant seat on my table.

　　“Would you mind if we join you?” The second man traced his finger along with my jaw as he spoke. I kept quiet and yank his hands away.

　　When my order arrived, the old lady warned them not to make any trouble but they just laugh at her which caught the attention of everyone eating inside the restaurant.

　　My body stiffened when I felt the hand of the third man travelled from my knees up to my thighs. I didn’t waste anytime, I grabbed the glass full of water and poured on his face then grab his hair and slammed his head on the table.

　　The man on the next table handed me an empty bottle of soju and I smash it on the head of the first man making him wince in pain.

　　“Wow! You amazed me! What a brave girl!” The second man claps his hands and walk towards me. I froze as he encircled his arm around my neck and pointed a sharp metal causing me to wince in pain. I can feel the hot blood dripping on my neck.

　　“Put it down!” The onlookers started fleeing the site when Officer Jeon walks towards us pointing the revolver on the man behind me.

　　The man was clearly surprised as he saw an Officer right infront of us. “Hey Wonwoo boy, it’s you again! The fucking hero who jailed me twice!” I felt his grip tighten on my neck.

　　“And I will put you in jail for the third time and make sure that you’ll rot in jail if you won’t release her!” Fury and rage can be seen on Officer Jeon’s face like he’s really concerned with me.

　　“Don’t you dare threaten me or I’ll kill this beautiful lady!” he then dropped the knife on the ground and within a blink, a gun is now pointed on my temple making my eyes widen.

　　“Please don’t!” I can hear the panic from Officer Jeon’s voice.

　　“Put your gun down and hands up!” The armed man instructed Officer Jeon.

　　He puts his gun down slowly and his hands up. But then a single shot rented the air, echoing through the quiet night and accelerating through the horizon. I was so terrified by the scene that during the entire time, I had my eyes tightly shut.
