Cadence Under Contract
Cadence Granbury is the highly skilled and experienced personal assistant to CEO James Oliver. Their relationship has been nothing but professional since Cadence started working for him two years ago. That is, until James receives an ultimatum from his ailing grandfather: get married or get very little! Chapter 112 - Just Love
It was September 15th. Exactly two months from that fateful day when a combination of failing air conditioning and absurd inheritance clauses brought James Oliver and Cadence Grandbury together in a way that would change their relationship forever. So much had happened since then and now the couple was looking forward to a bout of relative peacefulness.
Hand in hand, James escorted Cadence up the steps to a familiar estate. Charles had been discharged a few days prior and the family was getting together properly for the first time since. They would be celebrating both the man's ongoing success in recovery and his birthday! The housekeeper greeted them at the door and led them to the sitting room where almost everyone else had already gathered.
"Seriously, James! Only one present? When did you get so cheap?" commented Belinda before they'd even gotten halfway across the room.
