Chapter 20

“I don’t know what to do. I think I’m perfectly safe in my apartment. It has a keyed elevator and a security guard for the building. They installed a state of the art security system in the stores downstairs and in the two lofts. Bull is just trying to torment me. He really doesn’t want me there. I’m going to speak to Reed. Is Bear upstairs?”

Brian nodded.

“Good, I’ll speak to both of them at the same time,” Jamie said as he pushed through the swinging doors of the kitchen and took the elevator upstairs. Even though the door was open, Jamie knocked.

Reed and Bear looked up. “Come in, Jamie. I expected you to come up. What can I do to help?” Reed asked as he put his arms out and gave Jamie a hug. Bear patted him on the back.
