An elderly man with a full white beard led Eldrida into the meeting room.

Several people were already seated on the sofas, all senior officials of the Order Association.

"Ms. Eldrida, what an honor to have you here. You should have informed us in advance so we could have prepared a proper welcome," the senior officials rose and greeted her respectfully.

Eldrida glanced at them, a flicker of displeasure in her eyes.

Before coming here, she had explicitly requested to see the president. Yet, the president was nowhere to be seen.

"Ms. Eldrida, our president is away from the lake city. Anything you have to say, you can tell us," the white-bearded elder said with a smile.

His name was Merrick, one of the vice presidents.

The two hundred fighters Eldrida had brought with her were assigned to her by him.
