"It's late so you can stay if you like. We have a few empty rooms in the main house or empty ones to the south." Zack proposed as they neared home.

"I'll take you up on that. We still have some training to do in the morning." Karin smiled down at Tanya.

The two have quickly become close. Tanya knew they weren't related, but still felt a warm sensation around her. She enjoyed Karin's presence, and training made Tanya feel close to her mother. Zack has offered a few times for Karin to join, but she refused.

Karin lives in a small community that lives very cautiously, and she would only join if they agreed to come as well. All of them still had skepticism knowing there was a family of humans here and didn't believe the claims of the Nephilim leader.

Under the current treaties humans, and the other races were entitled to their own rule. The only time the demon armies could intervene now is in retaliation to attacks. With this change, many species banded together hiding away from the conflicts.

If they were to move into a sanctioned human city, and their talks of peace were lies. They could be held as slaves, and the demon armies could do nothing to intervene. This hasn't been done in over a century, but with recent hostilities growing most feared it could return.
