Chapter Two

V POV

I watched the scenery fly by out the van window, eyes heavy with sleep and boredom. I was tired, but I couldn't sleep anymore in this van. I was just giving myself a headache with the effort. It didn't stop Jimin from laying out on his side, his head in my lap and his legs in Suga's lap. He had his arms crossed over his chest and the blanket thrown over his lower half. I had my arm over his chest, my fingers absentmindedly tracing circles into his side. I would occasionally bump over a rib and made a mental note to get him to eat something when we got to the cabin. His breathing was slow and steady as he was completely asleep. I didn't know how he could possibly sleep in such a cramped position but he made it work.

Jungkook and J-Hope were quietly playing on their phones in the back seat. They seemed totally at home in the crowded van. Namjoon was up front in the passenger side seat with his mouth slightly open as he softly snored. His head leaned against the van door, a pillow wedged in between for support. Jin was driving, and I knew he was tired. The circles under his eyes were proof enough, but he continued to shift in his seat, fiddle with things on the dash, and kept glancing at all of us through the rear view mirror. His GPS showed we had less than half an hour to the cabin and my heart sped up with anticipation. The first thing I'd do was convince Jin to cook us all some real food. I had been ignoring my painfully empty stomach for hours now. Now that I knew we were arriving soon, I could only think of the wonderful raman he could make us.

"Tae," Jimin's sleepy voice made me look down at him, his eyes half open as he looked up at me. "Your stomach is really noisy." I blushed slightly.

"I know. Aren't you hungry too?" I asked as I poked his belly. He tensed and grabbed my wrist with a small smile.

"Why do you think I've been sleeping this whole time?" He pushed himself up and his peach hair flopped in all directions. He pulled the blanket up further, much to Yoongi's dismay.

"Hey, it's cold." He protested sleepily. He pulled the blanket back some and Jimin surrendered it. Yoongi pulled the blanket up over his shoulder and leaned against Jimin's side, falling back asleep instantly. Rubbing his eye, Jimin looked over at Jin and the GPS.

"Only twenty minutes left?" He perked up right away and scooted forward in his seat to pester Jin. "Can you make raman when we get there?"

"Obviously." Jin sighed and reached across to poke Namjoon in the ribs. "Yah, we're almost there."

"What happened?" Joon sat up straight and looked over at us, his eyes half closed still.

"Wake everyone up, we're almost there. Get all shoes on, things collected, all that stuff." Jin ordered and Joon looked back at me and Jimin. The only one still asleep was Yoongi. He stretched his arms over his head and his back cracked in the process.

I hadn't noticed until now, that all of the scenery around us had changed drastically. Instead of main roads and buildings along the sides, there were huge pine trees. Pine trees that were still somewhat weighted down with snow. The road had changed to gravel and dirt, piles of dead leaves and snow were along the sides, and small patches of clean white snow remained in the shadows. The temperature had dropped as well. It was now almost 40 degrees out, and I was glad to have my coat with me. I gently shook Suga's shoulder to wake him and he slowly sat up, his eyes squinted against the light. The blanket slipped off as he looked outside.

"Wow. It's probably freezing out." He said and zipped up his coat further. Jin was pulling up into a long driveway now. We rounded a corner and finally saw the full cabin in view. It was a huge A-frame style house with a large balcony and side porches. It sat on a stone foundation and had a massive window in the front. As we pulled around to park, more windows wrapped the sides of the cabin as well. Jin parked and stretched loudly, his back popping too. Pine trees surrounded us and there were no other houses in view.

"Everybody out!" Namjoon shouted and I pulled the sliding door open hard. I stepped outside and immediately cringed against the frosty air. I inhaled deeply, the crisp air feeling like liquid oxygen in my lungs. It smelled like pine, earth, and dead leaves. Jimin fumbled out of the van and put a hand on my shoulder as he passed by. Him and Yoongi were belining towards a large pile of white snow leaned up against the cabin. Jungkook and Hobi were a little slower, Kookie taking time to take in the sights. Just as Jimin was about to toss a massive snowball, Jin put up his arms and shouted.

"No one eats until the van is unloaded!"

"Get everything into your designated rooms and unpack." Namjoon added and Jimin's snowball dropped. He trudged to the van and began helping Hobi remove suitcases and bags. I shivered and zipped my coat up, moving towards them as well.

It only took 30 minutes to fully unload the van. The inside of the cabin was impressive. It was two stories and had 4 bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen in front, a large living room in the middle, and a fireplace in the back. Everything was built in solid amber wood, giving the place a warm glow. Namjoon was working on getting the fireplace started while the rest of us began moving luggage into rooms. I would be sharing the first bedroom on the main level with Jimin, Hobi and Suga would be in the second across the house still on the main level. Jungkook and Namjoon would take the upper level bedroom, and Jin had claimed the fourth room to himself, though I doubted he would stay in there by himself. Each bedroom had a full king size bed, two dressers, and a small couch.

Jimin dropped his last suitcase by his dresser with a huff, and plopped down on the couch. He took off his jacket and tossed it over the armrest and lay out on the couch to catch his breath. I sat on the bed doing the same. Since the fireplace was on, the room was already pretty warm and the coats were too much. It was a few moments before I noticed the wonderful smell of raman wafting in through the slightly cracked open door. Jimin seemed to notice it at the same time and our eyes met for a moment. He jumped up and bolted for the kitchen and I was a second behind him.

By the time we finished eating and cleaning the dishes, it was almost 4 in the afternoon. It was too late to do much outside as the sun would be setting soon. I didn't know if I could do much anyway. The hot raman Jin had made was very filling and all I wanted to do was stay here on this couch and take a nap. Everyone else felt the same. Jin and Namjoon were already asleep on the largest couch and Hobi was on the other side on his back. I lay out on my back as well but had Jimin sandwiched in tight between me and the back of the couch, his arm slung out over my chest. I had the blanket pulled up over both of us and I was pretty sure he was already asleep. Jungkook and Yoongi were crashed on the third couch against the wall, hidden amongst a nest of pillows and blankets. The cabin was very warm and quiet, making a perfect environment to sleep. The warmth from the fireplace, Jimin's body heat on my left, and a full belly were too much for my exhausted mind to fight anymore. I closed my eyes and sighed deeply, falling asleep almost instantly.
