Rumors of Adventure

It was early in the evening before Hassan was able to visit Ryker at the inn. By this time, a few of the inn's patrons had already retired for the day, sleeping restlessly on the scratchy mattresses, so the two of them left for the streets of Cactus Town to find a suitable place to talk.

"Honored One, will your companion be fine by herself? She seemed to be immersed in her practice…" Hassan said with some worry as they walked.

Although Cactus Town was relatively peaceful compared to other settlements out in the desert, that was only when measures were in place for keeping honest people honest. Namely, travelers sticking together in groups and making sure their weapons were out for all to see.

A beautiful young woman left alone, with no visible weapons on her person… there were bound to be many unsavory types who would be tempted by such a thing.
