Epilogue

A week later

Buchi stood with his family as they paid their last respect to Jennifer. It wasn't easy on him, but he had to keep calm and watch the morticians do their jobs. It really hurt him how his bitter-sweet relationship with Jennifer had to end; Nevertheless, he had to be strong and take care of their kids in her absence. After her funeral, he was going to announce that he was officially dropping from the governorship race (through a press conference). He had been a slave to his political career and it took last week's event to get him to realize that it was time to free himself and take care of his kids.

"I'm pretty sure she'd have wanted this." Jennifer's dad who suddenly appeared from nowhere handed Buchi a file. "I signed the truce. I'm not going to come after you again because I know she wouldn't have ended up like this if I had been a good father," he assured his son-in-law by accepting his mistakes.
