CUT THROAT ACTIONS

I was lying on my bed with Apollo, Lilith and my mom attending to me when Indigo walked in with a badly injured man held across his big arms.

I looked at him in a confused manner as Maame came from behind him, shyly then Apollo called her, surprised, then I immediately yelled,"How could you do something like this?!"

My mom and Lilith held me down as I struggled with my little but explosive strength as Apollo gently held her by the shoulders, looking sad and disappointed, then asked,"Maame, why?"

"I'm sorry..."She said,"...my instincts took control."

I yelled while still pinned down,"Those men could have families, mothers, wives and kids and you just inhumanely killed them!"

"They're not dead..."Indigo said,"... that's why I brought the four of them, they have no chance of survival."

"Don't tell me..."

"I want you to take their souls."He completed.

"How could you ask me something like that? You're a monster!"I yelled,"You all are!"

I didn't know why I was so concerned about them who were all literally at the brink of death when the lives lost because of Darlok's never ending forces barely bothered me, but maybe it was because these lives were taken by my own family, whatever the cause, I didn't like it.

I struggled and resisted till my mom had no other choice than to hold me in a head lock until I fell asleep.

When I was calm, she looked at me as Indigo said,"No, we need him awake to do the procedure."

My mom kissed my forehead then whispered,"I'm sorry for causing all of this."

Then with a swipe of her arm, Lilith woke me up.

I sat up, confused by the crowd for a second, then frowned when I remembered everything, Indigo asked to be left alone with me, and I was glad to beat him up then take his soul instead.

When everyone left, he gently placed the injured man on the bed then said,"Felix I know how you feel..."

"Then why are you asking me to do this?"I asked, stubbornly.

"Because it's your only choice, one way or another, these men are going to die unless someone heals them, but that wouldn't work for you, you will actually die if you don't get a new soul soon, but we need you, alive and not undead."

I at that moment, remembered what the gem told me, then asked him to give me time to think about it.

After thirty minutes later, I barged out of the room door and supported myself by the doorframe then everyone came closer to me and I looked into Anneliese's eyes, showing my glowing tears, as the recovered man stood behind me.

I then said,"I'm sorry, but I can't do it."

Anneliese ran and hugged me with multicoloured tears flowing down her cheeks as Indigo smiled then said,"I'm proud of you son, and we'll find a better way, Jessica has already healed the other men."

I looked at him then smiled weakly as the gem said,"Your time has come."

I smiled as I fell over, then died...

My eyes opened slowly and I looked at everyone around me, sitting quietly, then at my arms, I was undead now.

I sat up then Anneliese and Alexa rushed to me and hugged me with tears streaming down their cheeks, but the weird thing was, how was my heart beating if I was dead?

Apollo then said,"You didn't think we were going to let you rest in peace, now did you?"

I smiled then said,"Even if I rested, it wouldn't be in peace."

It turned out, Apollo and Titus had teamed up to bring me back, but the task wasn't actually that hard as bringing back someone dead for thirteen seconds was ironically easier than replenishing the depleted soul of someone, I was okay.

My mom was sick again though, as my soul had to be taken back, but we were going to help her the right way this time, we healed her.

I also apologized to Maame for blaming her, it wasn't her fault, she was naturally a predator and generational instincts like that were tremendously hard to get rid of, by hook and by crook.

There was a low pitched chuckle, before a loud laugh, and Darlok's imps were terrified as he said,"They're getting stronger, faster than I thought... especially that man, my plan worked...Angel of Death, come to me, my child..."

A man walked closer to him then bowed with six black wings appearing as he said,"I have a new mission for you, I want you to send as many over powered henchmen of mine as possible to this realm and get me those three individuals."

"And what about the children, master?"He asked.

A long grin came up on Darlok's face as he said,"I know exactly how to deal with them..."

An orc roared as three children were messing with it from all around, it was the last remaining soldier of its legion so we thought to let the town's children have a little fun with it with their newly given lights.

One child made a ball of snow appear in his hand and hurled it at the monster's face.

It ran in his direction to attack when it was knocked over by a small rock in its path as the thing suddenly weighed like a tonne.

The creature began to stand up when one of the children jumped on its back and used it as a bronco as it resisted, the people were getting quite used to Darlok's forces, I was even beginning to wonder if my efforts were still needed.

I then said,"Okay, okay, guys, you've had your fun, it's time for it to go back."

"Oh please, just a few more hours?!"One begged.

"No, can we keep it as a pet?"Another suggested.

With that thought, all of them agreed.

I shook my head and said,"This creature has been deprived of its own free will, it has to go back."

The children moaned and groaned, bummed out, as I stretched my arms and the creature's genetic signature began rewriting, to that which it had before, using an Illusion to tell me how it used to look.

I then sent the Tonner back to its home.

Tonners were basically a race of humans bred for brute strength and little brain capacity, they came from an Earth about one thousand universes away from mine and lived there in primitive social groups, being raised by the smarter humans to do their bidding, I didn't exactly see this as right but, what else could I do?

If I interfered, I'd just be a better looking form of Darlok with a man bun, so I just tried my best to mind my own business.

I slumped onto my bed then closed my eyes and immediately opened them when I felt someone choking me.

There was nothing around and holding my neck, I felt nothing, somehow like using the water present in a person's body to go against and choke them.

The thing lifted me into the air then slammed me, back first into the floor.

I struggled then closed my eyes tightly as I clenched my fists, then immediately, the room got covered in ice.

The thing kept squeezing my neck and I couldn't think of anything else to do until there was a screeching sound and then I could finally breathe.

I heard something screeching and writhing in pain then something started appearing, growing bigger and changing shape, till it materialised as a thing I had never seen before.

It looked like a lizard, with four scaly, human like arms and two legs.

It kept screeching in pain as the door opened, I had heard Indigo mumbling something all this time, but thought he was just sleep talking, as usual, but he wasn't, he was saying something I couldn't understand.

I looked at the creature as it burst into black flames which immediately died down, then it fainted, unharmed.

I looked at Indigo then asked,"How did you do that?"

"My crystal told me what to do."

"And how come mine didn't give me a heads up?"I asked, mostly to the gem on my chest than to the man in front of me.

It remained silent till a portal opened besides us and we prepared to defend ourselves as the creature came out, and I widened my eyes...
