A DUE

Apollo placed Ethan, his only son, into a basketball sized sphere of salt water he was keeping in the air.

The thumb sized half merman, half human swam through the water, feeding on microscopic plankton as his long hair formed thick black clouds behind him.

He then stopped and looked his father in the eyes and pecked at the border of the water and swam around playfully.

Apollo knew his son was in a playful mood and so placed his finger into the water as air bubbles started forming on his fingertip and swirling around the bubble.

Ethan tried futilely to pop them and swam through the huge plume of white bubbles and Apollo laughed then looked at Sylvia with her red hair, and Stacy, with her turquoise hair, and was willing to wait each of the three decades it would take till they became the size of a human six year old.

He looked at Maame, who walked behind him, looking sad.

He removed his full hand from the water and the small bubbles of glowing blue, well insulated and harmless electricity dissipated, all to the dismay of the children, then he asked Maame what was wrong.

She then said,"I'm sorry I couldn't give you normal human children that you could play with and talk to, relate to."

He looked at her with a serious expression, then smiled and said,"I love you, and them, and wouldn't change anything for the world."

She smiled as he kissed her on the lips gently.

Alex ran to Ama who was screaming and rolling on the bed and immediately knew why from before she started, she was having an... pregnancy, the baby was forming in her fallopian tube.

He had to do something and fast.

He gently placed his hands on her abdomen then she calmed down and looked at him in a way that made Phyllis uncomfortable, as the fertilised egg moved through the tubule and into her uterus, where it was properly implanted and he made sure everything was in order before removing his healing hands, but Ama held his hand tightly then said,"I don't want to go to sleep alone."

That was a strange thing to ask in front of his girlfriend and he could already sense Phyllis's accelerated heart beat as she was about to step in and he didn't know what to do.

When Phyllis realized he was actually considering this, she left the room.

He wanted to follow her but he couldn't leave the mother of his child alone, especially after she asked him to stay and almost got a dangerous pregnancy.

He then sat besides Ama, who placed her head on his chest to fall asleep, he would have thrown her out of the window if he was in his right mind, but he wasn't, literally, he sent his mind into Phyllis's, he was speaking with her telepathically.

' Phyllis, please listen to me, there's nothing happening between us and nothing will. '

' Then why are you choosing her over me? ' She thought.

' I would never do that, but she just really needs me right now, please understand. '

' Don't you remember what I told you just seconds ago? She's a drama queen and would do anything for attention. '

' But the baby was seriously in danger, I had to do that. '

' And with your stunningly high level, couldn't you have done... ' that ' from halfway across the galaxy?! Instead of touching her like that! '

' I'm sorry Phyllis, I just reacted. '

He smiled as he sensed her change her direction as she came back and said,"I'm not leaving you alone with her."

She came and sat besides him, after deciding not to throw Ama out of the window.

Nicky squealed as she fell through the trees then through the canopy till her fall was drastically slowed down as if gravity had quit its job.

When she landed, ever so slowly, she looked at Ricky with a smile then he said,"Don't thank me thank them."

She looked at the boys who had brought them and went to the one who encouraged her and thanked him but he looked away from her, that was odd.

When he finally looked back into her eyes, he pointed at a certain shrub with shimmering green leaves with tiny, silver hairs on its surface then said,"It was that."

She realized all her steps were lighter and even the rain water from above just levitated about six meters above the ground.

She walked towards the plant and was about to touch it when he smacked her hand.

She was about to react when he said,"If any of those hairs touch you, you'll never be able to get down."

She was surprised then thanked him.

He then said they had to go back and as he was the obvious oldest among all of them, his word was final.

Micky had been frowning deeply at Nicky the entire journey back to the village and she didn't know why till...

"He likes you!"He yelled.

"What are you talking about?"Nicky asked.

"Azuma Addo likes you, he has feelings for you."He continued.

"No he doesn't."

"For someone who can see into the future and past, you are really blind sighted."Ricky butted in.

"Guys stop being ridiculous, he doesn't like me."

"Then touch him and read his emotions towards you, you'll find out the answer."Ricky said.

She then said,"But who will take care of you two?"

"We're not dumb orangutan babies you know."Micky said.

"Yeah that's what I used to think."She said.

"Wait..."

She vanished from their midst, making sure to laugh her head off while time was frozen in her Time Jump.

She got to Azuma Addo then asked,"Umm, Addo, I was wondering if you, maybe under certain circumstances had a..."

' Don't tell him! ' Micky yelled in her head.

She winced slightly but continued,"...a desire to continue teaching me about that plant, what's it called again?"

"The tree of the heavens."He said,"And of course I'll teach you, I'll teach you about all the enlightened plants I know of."

Judging by all his enthusiasm, she didn't quite need to read his mind in order to find the truth, but just to be sure, she checked into a future where she left without getting closer to him via the fifth dimension and saw he became miserable without her then felt sorry for him, but she couldn't do it because she was sorry for him, she had to find out what he was actually made of...
