He coughed gently, relieving the tesnion slightly /" Thank you for helping you didn't have to do that but I am grateful. Happy birthday, Alexis/" he said softly as he places a wrapped up box on the table in front of me.

I didn't touch it until he left the house. I refused to give him that acknowledgment.

/" you're an idiot/" they all said in synchronisation as the door closed behind him.

I noticed the disappointed look on my parents faces. They were not holding back on how much they were disappointed in me. This time i didn't feel as though i was right, maybe this time i was wrong. I picked up the box once he left, I slid my finger through the opening and unwrapped it.

/" what is it/" Jess and Ellie stood up to get a better look but only i could understand this.

/"Is that a stamp for baking/" mum questioned me once i removed it from the box and held it up and finally inspected it.
