Ch:10 Ambush

The sight of a struggling Blake in the man's arms with one hand over her mouth, the other holding a knife to her throat, caused Maru to bubble with anger. The pleading look that Blake sent towards Adam did not help as a snarl grew onto her face. "Aric you bastard!"

The yell made both the man named Juno and Aric chuckle, the look of glee on getting one over Maru made her hate him more than she already did.

Juno laughed, pushing the knife closer to Blakes neck "hay, hay look at the red head one, he looks pissed. What? You don't like this?."

Adam snarled at the taunt and got in a stance like he was trying to attack but was stopped by a hand put out by Maru and her words that came after. "You fucking idiot, if you attack she's as good as dead, you cant just do everything by rushing in blindly."

The only response she got was a humph and him backing down from his stance.

"Good, good, it's very good that you listened to her. We wouldn't want anything happening to this little kitty now would we" Aric said tauntingly.

The taunt made Maru even more enraged at the man in front of her but she pushed it down and begrudgingly said. "What do you want Aric?"

Aric smiled at her tone that sounded pained at having to listen to any demand that he made of them. "Well first of all we need you to get rid of those pesky weapons of your's, wouldn't we?"

The demand made Maru snarl but she complied, throwing her sword down into the red painted snow beneath Arics feet. She then took out her pistol Reikon, using its blade to cut just under her rib, it resealed without the knowledge of anyone around her. The blade gained a slight bit of blood on the tip of it. She then threw it in front of Junos feet, all the others in the party soon following suit, forming a pile of weapons in front of Juno.

"Next you all will get on your knees and put your hands behind your head." The victorious smile on Arics face grew further.

As Maru was getting on her knees she noticed something coming out of the forest from behind Juno which caused a smirk to grow on her face.

"Hey Juno I didn't catch your full name, and you already know mine wouldn't it only be fair for me to know yours?" Maru said in an attempt to stall for time.

The question caught the man off guard, and made him give her a suspicious look as he said "what are you trying to pull?"

"Nothing, nothing at all, just trying to make light small talk, you also look slightly familiar, have we met before?" Maru replied, trying her best to not look suspicious.

A smirk appeared on Juno's face as she said that, a laugh escaped his mouth as he said. "Well if you must know, my name is Juno Frost, does that answer your question?"

The name brought back memories of an older woman who would come over to her home often when she was younger, the woman had a similar blue hair to Juno but a sterner expression, these memories made Maru chuckle lightly and respond. "So you're that woman's son".

These words made a proud smile come onto Juno's expression as he said. "Yes, I am the one and only Juno Frost, son of Aurora Frost!"

The exclamation only made Maru chuckle out. "That's good, then I get to hit two nevermore with one bullet."

What Maru said left both Aric and Juno confused, making Aric inquire. "What do you mean by that?"

A smirk appeared on Marus face as she answered. "Firstly, I mean this. Ilia do it now!"

The exclamation from Maru caused even more confusing from both men until Juno felt a slash along his back accompanied by a painful shock of electricity that flowed through his entire body and into Blakes, both of them cried out in pain but it caused Juno to loosen his grip on Blake and for Aric to be distracted.

Maru taking advantage of the confusion, vanished from her spot and appeared in the place where her pistol was, grabbing it she used the snow underneath them to slide towards the recovering Juno.

Stopping in front of him and grabbing Blake, she holds her gun towards his head and remarks. "Secondly, for being good bait for another person who I need to kill." After saying this she pulls the trigger putting a hole through Junos head spraying blood all around as it bursts open.

Passing Blake to a bewildered and blood covered Ilia Maru vanishes and appears next to her sword and inturn next to Aric.

Grabbing Shinsei she slashes upwards towards Aric but he being more ready than Juno was able to dodge but only just because Marus sword still slashed over his right eye cutting it out.

The miss caused Maru to frown but she didn't go for another attack but she vanished and appeared back next to Ilia and Blake.

Aric put his hand over his destroyed eye and screamed at Maru. "You damned fox, I will kill you!"

Maru still holding a protective stance over the two young girls as she is joined by the others says. "Well good luck with that because the next time we meet there will be no mercy, and I will personally make sure you end up in the ground." A smirk grew on her face. She then gestured towards the body of Juno and said. "Oh and deliver my little present to the old icy bitch, I just know she'll love it".

She then mockingly looked towards her wrist as though there was a watch there and said. "It is highly unfortunate that our fun has to end, but see you!". With a smile and wave she ordered "Nyx get us out of here".

The man in question smiled and said as the group was covered in a curtain of shadows. "Yes boss."

The group of Faunus left with an unconscious Blake and left a screaming Aric in the Broken down encampment.
