Officer's meeting

After Kita concluded the meet and greet with the crew. He got of stage and said goodbye to Osritch. Osritch had a ship to catch and Kita had a lot of things to do.

After they parted ways, Kita quickly headed over to the hotel that he was staying at. He hadn't brought Noir and his luggage back with him. So he still needed to go and get that.

After he came back to his hotel room, he quickly packed everything up and picked up Noir. He held him in front of his face and said.

"The Ship's here. It's gonna be our home from now on. Let's go." Kita walked out of the hotel after settling his due.

He quickly took a pod to the station. While in the pod he quickly sent Elena a message about the ship being here and asking her to come.

To which he got a reply that she was already on her way.

"Great! I bet she knew the moment it stopped at the docks." Kita just rolled his eyes.

After reaching the station he quickly took a shuttle that took him back to docks. After that he had officially boarded his new ship and home, The Jeager.

There were a lot of rooms available on the ship, but he opted for a fairly high class room for himself. Although he called it a room, it was actually more like an apartment with 2 rooms, living room, kitchen and everything attached.

After he put the luggage on his bed, he quickly sat down on it. It felt nice to finally have a place that he could call home. He used to call the room that he and Helen was assigned back on the Shore home. But after Helen died, He had only gone back there once. It wasn't the same anymore.

"I wish I had done this sooner." Kita said while touching the necklace. He wished that Helen would be here by his side. He was finally on his way to fulfill her dream. But She wasn't with him.

After a few hours spending inside his room, he got out of there. He headed over to the bridge. After he entered the Bridge, he was greeted by the 5 people who were all in charge of keeping the ship running.

The current acting captain was Noel. He quickly greeted everyone back as he said.

"Guys, Please come with me, I want to hold a meeting to discuss our immediate priorities and our future plans."

Everyone nodded as they followed him inside one of the meeting room.

After everyone was seated, he began the meeting. He decided to ask for the immediate concerns that were most important.

"As you guys already know, I plan on going on a voyage far beyond the borders of the empire or humanity. I don't know what we will encounter. Although we can make some educated guess, but things can always change. I want us to be as self reliant as possible. To that end, I want you guys, the heads of the respective departments, to tell me the immediate needs of the ship. What do we lack, what do we need. Why we need it. If you have anything on mind, you guys can let me know." Kita stopped talking after he said all this.

He wanted to give them space to talk as their feedback was quite crucial.

It was Noel who started talking first.

"I'd like to go first if anyone doesn't mind. Mr. Kita, as you know, the current crew of the ship is just a skeleton crew that Mr. Osritch hired to get the ship and running. I want to emphasis that there are many departments and systems that are currently running on auto-pilot and we don't have anyone monitoring them. It's good enough for now, but in the future, if any one of them breaks, we could get in some serious problems. So, I'd like to suggest that we hire more people. At least enough to fill these crucial roles. so that even if something breaks down, we have someone who knows what's going on." The man spoke calmly as he pointed out quite a few other problems.

Kita agreed with the guy. The current crew of the jeager was quite lacking. He would need to hire way more people before he could set out on his grand voyage.

"Thanks for bringing this to my attention Noel. I am quite aware about the problem. But there's nothing much I can do." Kita spoke.

The people in the meeting room seemed bummed out about what he had said. So he spoke again.

"I don't mean that I am not willing to hire more people. But I'm not the right person for the job. So I am gonna see if I can bring someone I know onboard. He is quite skilled in managing different affairs of running a ship. I intend on letting him handle this issue. But till then, Mr. Noel..." He looked sharply at Noel.

The man straightened his back as he looked back at Kita.

"I want you to make a list of all the roles we need to fill on the ship. Who do we need. How many do we need. Everything. I hope the person I'm bringing in will take care of this issue." Kita spoke in a straight voice.

"Now, who's next?" Kita opened up the discussion for everyone again.

"I'd like to point out that we currently don't have any supplies that would allow us to go on any sort of voyage. We need to go to a trading hub and buy supplies." Halter, spoke in a suggestive tone.

He was the ship's chief supply officer.

His job was to make sure that everything the ship might need was on board and to procure anything that they didn't have. He needed to make sure that there were enough food on board for everyone to last them the voyages. He needed to make sure there was enough fuel onboard. And all sorts of things.

As the Jeager hadn't been supplied in the recent weeks. It was running quite dry. So they needed to buy a lot of crucial supplies.
