Declan looked at the bottles in the wine rack built into the center island. “These are the bottles I bring up at the beginning of the week.”
My eyes nearly bugged out of my head. “So, there’s more downstairs? Like in a cellar?”
His lips curled into a sexy grin. “Exactly like that.” He motioned with his head toward the other side of the galley kitchen. “Come on. I’ll show you.”
He walked out the other side of the kitchen and headed to the far wall, stopping at a door. He opened it and flipped on the light, revealing a stairwell. “Don’t come down here if you’re in the castle alone,” he said as he walked down the stairs expecting me to follow. “I don’t want you to get locked down here accidentally.”
I chuckled as I followed behind. “You know me well.”
He laughed. “Believe me; it’s not fun.”
“I’m sensing there’s a story there?”
