Chapter 114: Truth

At five-thirty, I pulled my Jaguar out of the hospital parking lot, headed for the gym. I had my work out equipment in the trunk, so there was no reason to go home first. That was good. I didn’t want to go to the castle and face the emptiness awaiting me. Without Henley, the castle was just an empty shell.

I pulled into the parking lot a few minutes later, shoved it into park, and got out. Then I opened the trunk and took out my gym bag. I wasn’t sure if I’d need it, though. I may not wait to change into my workout clothes to kick Trent’s ass. I agreed to come here but I didn’t say anything about not beating the sh*t out of him.

I walked in, expecting to find the place swarming with buff men working out while checking themselves out in the mirror, or women jumping around in tight, skimpy workout clothes that left little to the imagination.
