Chapter 112: Fire

Henley

Tears rushed down my cheeks as I walked toward the front gate. Declan and Trent were shouting from the castle behind me as I hurried away.

“Miss, are you okay?” Jackson yelled behind me, coming up quickly.

“No! Jackson, thank you, but stay here!” I sobbed as I approached the front gate. The guards came out with their hands on their guns as I walked up to the gate, crying. “Open the gate!” I yelled, not caring what they thought. I needed to get out... to leave... as quickly as I could.

The guard’s eyes were wide as he looked first at me and then at Jackson.

In my peripheral vision, Jackson nodded. “Do it.” Then he walked up beside me. “Miss, I can take you anywhere you want to go—”

“No! I have to get out of here!” I screamed, sobbing. When the gate opened, I darted out as quickly as I could and called Gerard. I couldn't phone Ari in this state and didn't know who else to call.

“Henley?” he answered on the first ring.
