18. Can It Be True?

The Azure Sky is about to enclose the blonde Sun, pulling in its blazing rays to release a cool fluffy breeze, Tinaya, has just taken several routes to get to Ellieanna but they are all very long paths.

Passing through different corners that lead to streets, if not because she's an expert in the neighborhood routes, one might think she will vanish by losing her way.

Despite getting delayed, she'd need to meet Ellie but her safety must be a top priority, however, she doubts if she could get to her place alive.

After her long astray journey, she finally sees Vananeria's Province. It was Ellie's voice that caught her as soon as she steps into the compound.

"Why do you have to risk coming here by this time... Naya?"

Naya on the run stopped on her track as Ellie's tiny voice hit her before she enter Ellie's Quarter, Ellie walk closer from a bloomy flowering tree of whitish flowers, she seems terrified but hide it at the sight of Naya.

"Ouch! You startled me... Ellie!"

"What are you doing outside?"

Naya kept catching her breath yet glancing around like a watchman, she knew she couldn't provide a reasonable answer for the reason she arrived at her place late since the villagers said awful things about His Lordship, she should not be part of it, therefore, keeping it a secret from Ellie is the same way as protecting His Lordship image.

After all, she is a royal family, things about the royals and the palace should not be said to villagers irrespective of their ranks.

Naya staggered immediately she glare at Ellie, her lips parted unaware, it was Ellie in front of her, not anyone else? Her dressing extremely calls for suspicion.

The makeup on her cherry face enlivened her beauty the more, in addition to the blue Sari-laced attire she wore, on her ears were expensive earrings, also jewelry around her neck and a pair of rings on her right nostril, she look somewhat like a day bride under the cream-colored veil that covers her already tied hair.

Well, this is the typical dress of the Anonias especially when the moon has become full to cover their bodies despite the smashed Vanaria Egg.

Naya wouldn't have been surprised If not for the unsolved issue, her sudden expensive dress startled her to think Ellie has already been given to the Old man.

"Ellie you look more beautiful than your usual self and despite your beauty, you still look terrified... Explain to me."

Instead of a reply, Ellie drag Naya by the wrist to follow her, she stopped under a pine tree, even though the shield wasn't enough, yet, it gives them a better place to stay.

"Huh...?" Naya whispered.

Ellie walk distance from Naya after releasing her. She covers her mouth as if about to burst into tears then turns to face Naya awfully.

"Father forced me to dress this way, we were about to visit the old man again when he got a message from the palace. The way I heard it, it seemed some rebels had attacked the palace."

Naya frown, she did not want to believe her latter utterances, why will the palace be under attack when she left there in peace?"

"What! I just left the palace to come to visit you... There is no sign of such..."

Abruptly, Ellie interrupted her, "Are you sure? Likewise, I heard the rumor from passersby when they are running for their lives. They said those bunch of rebels attack villagers too... I was scared... because of you and Nick."

"Where is he?" She peeps towards the gate,

Naya watches her baffling, there are indeed Rebels in the kingdom who are secretly trained by the unknown, but how could they dare to attack when His Lordship visits?

Are they by chance trying to prove His Majesty is not worthy as their King so His Lordship could dethrone him?

There is no such attack, she witnesses it all at the market square.

"em... Nick?... His Lordship snatched him from me today... Pity right."

Ellie nods, she seems calmer than before, her hands grip Naya's hands while concerns prowl around her,

"How will you get back to the palace? I still can't say it safely out there."

"Ellie, be less worried about me, the palace is under a safer condition, I'm very sure of that since I witnessed some palace guards at the market, parading, but before then, the market was in a peaceful state until they turned it into a chaotic one, I'm so sure the parade is for something else far from rebels attack."

Her rantings were released calmly, more cautious of creating unnecessary fear in Ellie's flexible heart.

"Naya, I'm not at peace, right now I might not be on good terms with my father, but I still care for him... Please can we go to the palace?"

"Until then we will know if this was a rumor or the truth."

Naya was confused on why Ellie still cared about that selfish man she called a father, she should be more concerned about her future which is about to be ruined.

"Ellie, what about the reason I'm here? I came all the way to talk about it... How to solve it!!"

Ellie shuddered from Naya's sudden outburst, she recognized their efforts and appreciate them but... This is her father, he was once a loving father to her, and this little issue is just her challenge, so because of it, she can't shun him or desire him dead. She thought as she focus her eyes on Naya.

"Naya, I think we can talk about it in the palace, besides, it will be more polite we discuss it together with Nick."

Naya sees Ellie was determined, one thing Naya seems to hate about her was her selfless lifestyle. Surely, putting others before herself is what leads her into becoming a bride to an old folk!

She concurred while Ellie clench her wrist till they reach outside the province.

After a distance of walking, they realized the town has become extremely quiet, no single passerby around, likewise the twilight is fading to turn into night.

Their legs paced faster on the road that suddenly become dangerous for villagers to walk through while Naya occupies with what Ellie just said.
