As time would have it that she was to be married, it began to take form that the curse would see that indeed Dooter wouldn't have a child in her first marriage and the husband took her back to her parent. She remarried but the same feat from her first marriage came at her again- not even an issue of the slightest sight of a swollen belly as she was again sent back to her parent. She got married to the third husband but after persevering for more than 3 years, he couldn't handle the pressure of not being a father after a 3years marriage without the slightest of any miscarriage... 3 different husbands and not a child to show for such unions, her parent then decided to find the cause of the barrenness.... Orthodox and unorthodox means were implored and sought after for the spur and cure. CHAPTER 9: DOOTER'S VISIT TO HER PARENTS.

CHAPTER 9: DOOTER'S VISIT TO HER PARENTS.

It was exactly a month after Mr. Martins had travelled that Dooter called to tell him that she wants to go and pay a visit to her people but was waiting for him to come back before she leaves but she couldn't stay any more that her initial plan was for them to visit her people together but since he's not yet back, she would be going to the village to see her parents alone. Mr. Martins then gave her the permission to go that he was coming back in the following month. As Mr Martins said that, Dooter now told him that by the time he will be back, the pregnancy would be 6 months.

After she said that, Mr. Martins told her that she's free to go and see her people but again, asked her what she would love to buy for them as she was intending to pay her parents a visit but Dooter again told him that she wants to buy some things for her parents so not just a thing but more since she had not seen or visited them for years after marriage. Mr Martins after hearing that, asked her again the things she wants to buy and she told him that she would love to buy a bag of rice, a dozen of Delto soap, a gallon of Turkey oil and also a red oil, 2 packets of maggi, a radio for her father and also few other things. Mr. Martins now told her that for the fact that she would be going with a good news to her parents, all she had mentioned are the best things to visit a parent with and again reminded her that she was not just visiting her parent but also to show them her pregnancy as the good news. He jokingly warned her from strong hug so that his unborn baby won't be hurt but she laughed and told her to send her the money as she wouldn't keep waiting for alert and immediately he transferred some money to her to go and buy all she needed to buy.

As she got the alert, she left the house to the market with her house help because she would not be able to carry the load all alone.

After purchasing the goods she had in mind, she still had some money left with her which she reserved to give to her parents then they boarded a tricycle to help them carry all the load home. As they got home, her house help rushed to the kitchen to prepare food for her to eat while she was bathing and before she would finish dressing, the food was already on the dinner waiting for her to come and eat. Early in the morning the following day her husband Mr. Martins send a driver to take her to her village with the car that the security guards had already washed waiting for her to wake up. When she woke up, she called the security guards and asked if the driver was already out and they told her that he had been waiting for her then she called the securities in to take the things to the boot, giving them the car key to give to the driver to start the car as she was dressing. After they took all the things she arranged and kept it in the boot, they told her that they were done then she finished dressing and went with the house help and entered the car then they zoomed off to the village.

On getting to the village, her parents were very excited to see their daughter after a long time and without having any thought of seeing her at the moment. Her mother Mrs. Mzamber at first sight of Dooter stood up from the wooden bench in which she had been sitting and ran to welcome her daughter as they now hugged each other.

While Mrs. Mzamber hugged Dooter (her daughter), she started shading tears without even allowing her to greet her father (Ayaaga) as he was just standing there happily waiting for her to get close but because of the emotions from seeing his wife in tears, he tried to control himself but ended up in full tears but as his only Dooter and her mother couldn't leave each other, he moved to where they were standing and hugged both of them.

They hugged and cried for some time emotionally that even the house help who at first was confused began to shade tears without even knowing the reasons Dooter (her madam) with her parents were too emotional. After crying for almost 30 minutes, they freed themselves from each other then Dooter now told the driver to help her house help to bring the things she brought out of the boot.

With her house help helping him, they brought all the things and showed it to her parents then, took it to the store.

Her father, Ayaaga, after they settled down, thanked God for performing a miracle in their family and said it was almost impossible for his daughter to marry again and not even to talk of getting pregnant but now all the old man's words are coming to pass. He cried and said he would have loved to see the old man again. Ayaaga still thinking about the old man, wondered if the old man would still be alive but his Daughter (Dooter) told him that, she is sure that the old man is still alive because the day she was taken home to her husband's village after marriage, she remember telling them that she saw the man waving at them while they were on their way home.

Listening to the conversations, Mrs Mzamber, who was still full of joy over her daughter being pregnant at the end opined that she believed the man was not just an ordinary person base on the fact that, all he said are happening and again told them not to even include death in it when talking about the old man and also why he hasn't visited them.

As she said that, all of them agreed that the old man was not just an ordinary being so his not appearing again should not be because he's dead and from there the topic was put to bed as Dooter went on and stayed with her parents for 3 days before she told them that she would have loved to stay with them for more days but because she came with driver, she could not exceed 3 days. Her parents now thanked her and from there she arranged her things and entered the car and immediately left the village to Lagos.
