Prologue

She was small and timid, always afraid.

He was tall and courageous, always brave.

They were like yin and yang.

She was the light and he was the dark.

She sat on the grass making flower crowns while the boy chased dragon flies.

"Azi! Look I finally caught one!" He grinned widely as he ran to his best friend. She shyly stared at him as he slowly opened his hand. At that instant, the dragon fly had flown away. Adrian groaned as he collapsed on the grass next to her.

"I was so close." He grumbled which made the little girl giggle.

"Maybe next time you'll catch it." She continued to embryoid the crown with little flowers.

"Ian?" That was her nickname for him. Ever since he had met her since she was a baby, they had become inseparable. He sat upright and stared at her hazel green eyes. They were both still children but he felt a bond to her. He was seven years old while the little red haired was four years old.

"This is for you" she handed the flower crown to him. He looked at the flowers has it was delicately held together forming intricate patterns as the stems was rooted together. He noticed that she had another flower crown in her hands. He grinned has he thought of a brilliant idea.

"I have an idea, let's crown each other. I'll be your prince and you'll be my princess." His blue eyes shined in the sunlight with a gleam of excitement. She stood up, clutching her flower crown, she smiled and nodded.

"Ian Knight, I dub thee my flower prince, will you accept?" He was on one knee, his head bent low.

"I accept." She placed the flower crown on his head.

"Azaliah Krimson, will you be my flower princess?" A light blush appeared on her cheeks and she shyly nodded.

"Yes, I will be your flower princess." She leaned her head down as he slowly put the crown on her head.

"Let's go home." He entwined his hand with hers.

Little did they know, the moment they shared would have been the last time together. But fate had a funny way of making sure that their destinies would be fulfilled. The two children made their way to their homes but what awaited for them would bring an everlasting torture and a separation that was more painful than death.
