* Life essence

Life essence is the vital energy that sustains every living being, fueling their existence and empowering their abilities. Essence is finite and irreplaceable – once depleted, death is inevitable. Every skill, and ability consumes a portion of one's life essence.

Everyone is born with a rank assigned to their life essence, ranging from S (highest) to E (lowest). As individuals grow, certain genetic traits manifest, granting them abilities tied to their heritage. Once a person's ability emerges and they become capable of seeing their own character sheet, they are considered "Awakened." Abilities typically begin to surface around the age of two, but only those with an initial life essence rank above D are able to wield them effectively.

* Skills and Abilities

Skills are capabilities that Awakened individuals can acquire through various means, such as personal accomplishments, learning from others, or purchasing them from specialized stores. These skills are typically practical in nature and can encompass a wide range of disciplines, from combat techniques to craftsmanship or academic knowledge. Abilities, on the other hand, are innate talents inherited from family members. These abilities are unique to each individual and are deeply ingrained in their genetics. Unlike skills, abilities cannot be learned, copied, or purchased – they are inherent traits that manifest once a person Awakens.
