Eiji walked leisurely along the sidewalk when he felt cold raindrops fall on his face. The overcast sky grew darker, and within seconds, heavy rain poured down without warning.
He quickened his pace, searching for a place to take shelter. Ahead of him, a closed shop with a small canopy became a temporary shield from the rain.
He leaned against the wall of an empty store, watching the street filled with pedestrians holding umbrellas. People seemed to be in a hurry, as if pressed for time despite the heavy rain.
"Japanese people are very disciplined. Truly... They waste their lives with limited time."
To be honest, Eiji didn't like the Japanese lifestyle, which he found too monotonous.
"Hm? What's wrong with me? Why do I feel uncomfortable for no reason?"
Touching his left chest, his brow furrowed as an unpleasant feeling suddenly filled his heart.
"Premonition?" Eiji speculated.
He took out his phone and thought of Nino. Then he called her, but there was no answer. Feeling unsatisfied, he tried calling again, but the result was the same.
"Could it be that Nino-san is taking a shower? No, Miku-san would bring the phone to the bathroom if it was my call."
He had experienced such situations before, which is why Eiji was increasingly convinced that something had happened to the two girls.
The rain continued to pour heavily. He looked at the busy street, thinking about returning to Nino and Miku's apartment. He knew he might be overreacting, but this bad feeling wouldn't subside.
"Better safe than sorry. If I'm wrong, that's fine. But... if something bad happens to them..."
Without thinking twice, Eiji ran through the rain, splashing puddles on the sidewalk. His clothes soaked with rainwater, but he didn't care. In his mind, there was only one thought: to find Nino and make sure everything was okay.
After running several blocks, Eiji arrived at the apartment building, drenched with wet hair and clothes.
*WHOOSH*
With one leap, he landed on the roof of the building across from the apartment.
With the cold night wind mixed with heavy rain, his blue eyes appeared brighter than usual, reflecting his emotional turmoil.
The distance and darkness of the night did not affect his vision. The Six Eyes functioned like a telescope, allowing Eiji to see clearly into Nino and Miku's apartment window.
The next moment, the situation inside the girls' apartment unfolded before his eyes. His pupils shrank to the size of a needle, anger flaring within his heart even though his face remained calm.

On the other side.
With trembling hands, Nino began to remove her underwear, her gaze filled with fear directed at the man who was holding Miku hostage.
The man looked at them with a twisted smile, satisfied to see both in a helpless condition.
Miku had a terrified expression, unable to do anything but look at Nino with guilt, her eyes pleading for them to escape this nightmare.
*CRASH*
However, at the most unexpected moment, the sound of breaking glass was heard. In an instant, someone jumped from outside the building, crashing through their bedroom window.
Eiji, soaked to the bone, stood in the middle of the room, shocking everyone present.
"..."
Before the three people in the room could react, Eiji didn't waste time and moved as fast as lightning.
*SWISH*
He swung his hand and snatched the knife from the man in one swift motion while pulling Miku to safety.
*THUD*
With a single powerful blow, Eiji struck the man, sending him crashing against the wall.
*BAM*
The next punch landed squarely, knocking the man unconscious on the floor.
Nino and Miku could only watch with wide eyes. Everything happened so quickly, like a scene from a movie.
"Eiji…?" Nino finally managed to say, still shocked by what had just happened. She didn't even care that the others saw her in just her underwear.
"Are you both okay?" Eiji asked in a calm yet attentive voice.
"Mm." Miku nodded slowly, still stunned.
"Now, everything is safe. You don't need to worry anymore." Eiji sighed in relief, having arrived just in time.
Hearing those words, it was as if the burden of fear they had felt finally collapsed. Nino and Miku, who had been trying to hold back tears, could no longer contain them. They both threw themselves into Eiji's embrace, their bodies trembling as they cried.
"Uwahhh... I was really scared…" Nino said with a trembling voice, while Miku clutched Eiji's arm tightly, her face still pale with tears streaming down her cheeks.
They both tried to calm themselves, but the earlier events left psychological trauma, making them only able to cry in Eiji's embrace.
"..."
Eiji remained silent, feeling the magnitude of the fear they had gone through. Although he wasn't good at comforting with words, he knew they needed his presence.
Without saying anything, he extended his hand, gently stroking their hair. He gave them time, allowing them to cry as much as they needed, providing a sense of security through his soothing touch.
The room was filled with the sobs of Nino and Miku, which gradually subsided. In Eiji's embrace, they felt a sturdy protection, a warmth that made them feel safe again. Even though Eiji didn't speak, his presence was enough to strengthen their wounded hearts.
"..."
After Nino and Miku's cries diminished, Eiji loosened his embrace and looked at them gently.
"Nino-san, put your clothes back on."
He then turned to Miku.
"Miku-san, could you call the police now."
Miku nodded, taking a deep breath before reaching for her phone. However, just as she was about to dial the police, Eiji interrupted.
"Listen… when you give your statement, don't say that I saved you. Just say a mysterious person appeared and left right after defeating that man."
Nino looked at him with curious eyes.
"Eiji… why? You just saved us. The police should know that."
Eiji raised his hand and said helplessly, "Trust me, this is better. There are things that… I can't explain right now. So, just say it like that, okay?"
"..."
Nino and Miku exchanged glances. They knew Eiji was keeping a big secret. If not, how could he jump from the building across and appear at their window? Whatever the reason behind his extraordinary strength, they decided not to ask and to respect his decision.
"Alright." Miku replied softly, then began to call the police. Nino simply nodded in agreement, though curiosity still filled her mind.
After waiting for a while, Eiji prepared to leave. He turned toward the window, but Nino's voice stopped him.
"Eiji, can you stay until the police arrive?" Nino said hopefully.
"We're still scared. What if that man wakes up? Can you stay with us a little longer?" Miku added, her voice still trembling.
Eiji looked at both of them, sensing the fear still evident in their eyes. He couldn't bring himself to leave them like that.
"Okay, I'll stay until they arrive. You're safe now."
Nino and Miku felt relieved to hear Eiji's answer. The three of them sat in the living room in silence, but Eiji's presence made the atmosphere feel calmer and safer. Even though Eiji didn't say much, his presence was enough to soothe their still fearful hearts.
A few minutes later, the sound of police sirens began to echo in the distance.
"Then I should leave now. See you tomorrow, Nino-san, Miku-san."
"Thank you for coming to save us, Eiji."
"Without Kamiki-kun's help, who knows what would have happened to me and Nino."
Nino and Miku expressed their gratitude.
"You both should move to an apartment with a better security system so that this incident doesn't happen again in the future. I can't always be there to save you."
After saying that, Eiji dashed off to the building across.
"Who is Kamiki-kun, really…?" Miku gasped at this spectacular scene.
"Whoever he is, it doesn't change the fact that he is our savior." Nino said firmly.
Soon after, the police came knocking on the door.
