Chapter 27: Discovery of Power

(One note. Mid chapter there are two notes close together. They are important at describing important stuff you may have forgotten or don't know. So please don't mind it. This short chap was mostly on Angel's reaction to one of Raime's Trump Cards. next chap in one hour.)

Angel pov:

I was lazing around in the "home" my dad made for me.

Currently, I wasn't given a specific task by him to do.

If I could I would be using my PhaseShift to try and break free of this collar around my neck.

But I was ordered not to, and the collar forced me to obey it.

This is my fate until the day i die isn't it?

Spectre said he would free me one day, but even though i said i believed him, i knew deep down that i would die long before we meet.

He is the only friend i have had that actively seeks to converse with me, even though i am a stranger, he trusts me.

Roland, Lilith, Brick and Mordecai do talk to me alittle when i get in contact with them.

I feel terrible at having to lie to them.

I hope they can forgive me one day for lying about the Vault.

For the Vault they were after is a feeding cage for an ancient interdimensional creature named by the Eridians as The Destroyer.

I have barely been able to find just enough knowledge to learn that in its true form, it is an invincible and intangible being.

But while it is still trapped in the Vault, it is forced to have a physical body, thus it can be harmed.

I told dad that if the Vault was opened then the risk of The Destroyer escaoing would only increase as it will attempt to break its cage.

But he waved off what i said as nonsense and that he was right!

What Spectre said about the Sirens and Nyriad along with what the Vault really was shocked us both but only cemented what i was trying to say.

But he yet again didn't care and "ordered" me via the collar to help the Vault Hunters in opening the Vault.

There was nothing i can do.

I have no choice.

I can only hope that The Destroyer can never escape its prison.

But ignoring my worries, i watched them all and helped them to stay safe.

I had watched Spectre the most as i...like him.

It was a good feeling. I didn't blush or get heated at this thought, instead, it felt like he was family.

(A/n Sirens all connected, meaning power, soul, mind and memories. Aka Maya calls out Nyriad's name in her dreams despite Nyriad being forgotten and dead for multiple aeons.)

I still didn't know what his real name or face was, but i really want to know what he looks like.

Then I can PhaseShift into various databases on as many worlds as I can so I'll learn about his past.

Especially with how he gave Marcus Kincaid a FREAKING BLUE DRAGON!!!

He said it's name was Frostbane.

He never actually told Marcus what it was or "summoned" it yet as he left to the Trash Coast immediately as soon as his talk with Marcus ended.

I was only barely able to hear what they talked about towards the end since the little girl Laura had her Echo with her when she eavesdropped on their conversation, but she was quickly discovered.

I went over the surveillance recirdings i ahd taken of him, and the other Vault Hunters, on my dad's "orders".

And i saw Spectre holding that very same blue glowing lantern along with a note in an older recording.

What it said shocked me to the core.

Name: Frostbane

Master: (Former - Argul) (Present - Me)

Full Potential Battle Prowess: 3-A (Universe level)

Is able to battle the Leader of the Four Horsemen, Death, in single combat.

Death fought Frostbane without his full power, as he was on an unsanctioned mission and therefore wasn't granted his "Charred Council infused power" to use.

Regardless, Death was able to slay Frostbane with some difficulty as he vocally had a voice of seriousness, and had visably shown signs of struggling in only three of his shown battles.

His three battles he was shown to have used the full limit of his power was against Absalom, Samael, and Frostbane.

Death was able to defeat his elder brother Absalom at the Well of Souls who wielded the power of "Corruption", which was stated by numerous powerful beings and even Old Ones like the Makers and the Crowfather. That if left unchecked and wasn't stopped, Absolom would have destroyed the Universe with the power of "Corruption".

And Death defeated Absolom without his "Charred Council power" and defeated Absalom with his base power.

Every other fight was effortless except these three.

Therefore, Frostbane is a Universal tier being as Frostbane has the power of the "Abyss" and fought Death evenly.

Even if Frostbane is not Universal tier, Death was stated to be able to be "able to destroy entire worlds and battle forces beyond Heaven and Hell".

As a result, Frostbane is planetary level confirmed at least.

What the Hell is this?!

That was my reaction when i sae this sheet he had!

How can this "Frostbane" be this powerful?!

How does Spectre has this monstrosity under his control?!

More and more questions about him popped into my mind as time went on.

...

I had just spoken to Spectre, and he had gone to Trash Coast to obatine the next Vault Key fragment.

How did he know it was there?

I trued asking him but he kept dodging around my questions.

He very quickly arrived back at New Haven, but when he did he immediately collapsed!

I was worried something may have happened since he had been perfectly fine before, but now!

Thank God that the others were in the plaza where he colapsed so they quickly reached him and took him inside.

I did my best to tell them what had happened and about him obtaining the Vault Key fragment alone.

I didn't leave anything out as to help divine why he was in this condition.

Angel: "You need to take equipment off so a diagnostic check can be run to determine his condition!"

Roland and Mordecai tried taking off the armour and helmet he wore, but they were to tight and the bonds wouldn't give.

Mordecai: "Brick, a little help here?"

As Brick was approaching Spectre's unconscious body...

He was sent flyimg across the room and crashed through the stone wall creating a large hole as a result.

Roland and Mordecai hadn't been spared as they were flung and smashed into the wooden tables in the room. Lilith was the only one spared from injury as she wasn't close to Spectre.

Lilith: "The Hell?!"

"GET BACK!"

All four of them, and me, looked at the source of the voice and saw the white-haired little girl, Laura.

All five of us had tge sane thoughts as we were visably confused and shocked that the little girl was strong enough to fling two adult men across the room, and even Brick through a stone wall.
