Chapter 38: Authors note/The end of my story

Well everyone this is the last chapter. I'm loosing thing to write about. I hope you enjoyed the story so far. This chapter might be shorter or longer than the rest of them. I will try to make it longer than the rest. The next one I will write is going to be the spring princess. You will know more once its done. First I want to take a break from writing these kind of stories and write others then eventually come back to it. Now without further a dew lets finish the story.

I got home from visiting my family and talked to Jay about visiting My old home. He said he got a letter from brother. He said It was a good idea to move over and that they had a room for them.

We called a family meeting to tell everyone the news. I asked the twins what they wanted to do. They decided to stay here. I told them it was fine that we would be taking Aria with us. "I know mom." said Kida. "We will follow you though to visit them." "Yes I'm sure grandpa and grandma want to see you again before they pass on." Then Jay spoke. "When would be a good day for us to go?" said Jay. We all looked at each other. "What about tomorrow?" said Aidan. "We all have that day free." "Ok then. Lets do that. Once everyone is awake we will leave. Tonight lets get some stuff ready to go." Then the meeting was over and we talked to the king. He was thinking of going as well just not that early so he said he will visit at a later date. We were going to pack enough for at least 6 months not knowing how long mom has left.

Finally it was the day to leave for my old home. We all got in our carriages and headed over. Once we got there I saw my brother already there to greet us. "Hey brother how did you know?" "Sis I have known you since you were little I know you to well." "Sigh. Sometimes I wish you didn't." "Haha oh sis you never change."

We finally got situated in our rooms and put our stuff down. Since mom was bedridden we went to her room. "Mommy." I said in a quivering tone. "Hey honey. Good to see you again." "You too mom. I heard the news. Do they know anymore of how long?" "No its just a matter of time." Said mom. "We are staying here to help out. The kids decided to stay there I brough Aria back with us. She is with a maid right now." "She must be getting big now." "Yes she is." I put my head gently on my moms chest to hear her breathing and she put her fingers through my hair like she used to when I was little and afraid. "Uncle Estel should be coming in a few days. He wants to see you soon as well." "Oh that old fart." "Haha. You never stopped calling him that. He will miss that. I will miss you mommy." "You have grown up beautifully honey. So have those beautiful kids. I most likely wont make it for the wedding but I have something for them." "Oh they are here visiting right now. But they are living over there." "Oh ok can you bring them in?" "Yes mom. Kida and Lidir. Mom wants to see you." They walked in quietly not to scare her. "Hello. You must be Lidir." "Yes maam I am." I have something for you both just in case I won't be at your wedding." She took something out of a Box and it was the yin and yang necklaces. Kida got the white and Lidir got the black. "Remember there is no light without the dark and no dark without the light. Remember to stay true to yourselves ok? Lidir. Take good care of my granddaughter ok?" "I promise maam." "Oh call me grandma." "Ok grandma." She smiled. Then Adrian came in wit Rin as well. "Hey grandma." "Oh hi Adrian. Rin take care of my grandson in the future as well." "Yes Grandma I will." "Ok lets let grandma rest now."

A few days later the whole family got word to come to see her one last time. "Mommy I will miss you. I love you so much." "I will always love all of you. I have something for Aria when she gets old enough. Here is the Key to open up the crate you know which one Talia." "Mom are you sure?" "Yes I am." "Wait mom one more thing don't cross over until I see you off ok?" She smiled and nodded. She was getting weaker and her last words were "Take care of eachother. Don't fight too much." Then she closed her eyes never to awake again. I told the others I would be outside for a bit.

I went outside and I saw mom's spirit. "Hey mom. Well when you get there tell Fawn I said hi. Her son is so handsome and has a beautiful daughter." "I will honey. Oh look who is here." "Dad.what are you doing here?" "Came to see if you were ok." "I'm fine dad. Mom's spirit it here is there any last words you want to say to her?" "My sweet wife. You know I'm getting weaker so it won't be long before I follow Have fun with the little girl until I join you ok? I will love and miss you until I join you. I will still love you but when I see you again I won't have to miss you." I saw mom go over and kiss dad's cheek and hug him. Dad was shocked because he felt something. "Tell him not to be too upset. Time will pass by before he knows it. Well I best be going." "Mom Tell Fawn I miss her." "I will sweet heart. I love you so much." "I love you to mom." Once she left Talia passed out. Her dad started yelling for someone to help.

People came rushing outside to see Talia passed out on the ground. Someone rushed inside to get a doctor. No one dared to touch her until he came. The doctor carefully turned her over and examined her. "Its just as I feared. Sigh." He gave her a shot and carried her to her room. People saw the doctor carry Talia to her room. Jay was one of them and rushed to see what was going on.

Jay went inside to talk to the doctor to hear what was wrong with Talia. "Well I didn't want to worry you but the time at he ball was the first sign. Her body and power are weakening. These next 6 months are going to be crucial. Her body will be fighting with her powers. In 6 months she will either loose her powers or…" "No. Or she will die." "Yes. I'm afraid so. Her fox friend Koda needs to stay by her side as much as possible. His powers can help a bit but not much. Every bit counts. If anything else happens let me know. When she wakes up come and get me so I can explain to her ok?" "Yes sir."

The kids came running over to their moms room door. Then they slowed down. "Daddy can we come in?" "Yes kids come here." Then he told them what was going on with their mom. "No. Either way mom won't be happy." Said Adrian. "I know son. I worry for her too. so we have to help your mom out too. Looks like we may have to stay here a little while longer. How is the wedding preparations coming over there." "Its going ok dad." Said Kida.

A Few hours later it was getting around dinner time and Talia was waking up. "Hmm. Ow. Jay are you here? Jay?" "I'm here. I'm always here. How are you feeling?" "Hmm my head hurts a little." I'm going to get someone to get the doctor." He told someone passing by to get the doctor. Then sat back down beside Talia. "I see that worried face. What's wrong with me?" "The doctor will tell you after his checkup." Then we chatted a bit and finally the doc showed up.

"Good to see you awake princess." "Hello doctor. So what's wrong with me?" Then he told her what he told Jay. "I see. Sigh well if I loose my ghost powers or all powers I will survive. As for the other what about my kids they need to know." "Oh don't worry I told the kids already. They were going to send word to Arion and the others. Looks like we have to stay here longer." "Yes I agree. Plus it seems like there are more ghosts here there in the elf kingdom but I won't get to help much." "I'll tell you what Talia. since I don't really do much around here anyway why don't I go with you to help some ghosts out in case something happens. What do you say?" "Fine with me. where is Koda?" "Oh I had someone send word for him needing to come see you." "Ok. Can I get up and walk around?" "Yes you can as long as you are careful." "Can you help me get cleaned up and changed so I don't look all wrinkled up." "Yes of course I will." So he helped me with a bath and got me dressed. I did my hair. "Ok lets go. Your brother might want to see you." "Ok lets go then."

They went to the office and when he heard the announcement he was shocked but let them in. "Hey sis how are you feeling?" "I'm feeling fine now. Just a little weaker than normal. So I was told you wanted to see me once I was able to get up?" "Yes I was told you needed to stay here for the remainder of the 6 months until your health gets better. I just wanted to say get well soon." "Thanks brother. Jay its ok if you tell him whats going on. He needs to be prepared." "Yes of course." Jay told him what the doc told me. "I see. Sigh. With the amount of powers you have I'm surprise you lasted this long." "What do you mean?" "I read it in a book that grandma had. Dad's mom. Here I'll lend it to you it will tell you what to expect." "Thank you brother." "Ok now you should take it easy. Go on now." Then I curtsied and left.

"Jay while I am still strong enough I want to go visit mom and my brothers. I want to tell them what's going on as well." "Lets see what the doctor says first. Its almost time for your check up." I nodded in agreement.

The doctor did his checkup and said, "Well if you want to go on horses this will be your last chance. After this you will need to take carriages." "Thank you doctor." "Lets go Jay." We left the little one with the nanny and rode our horses over.

We walked in without knocking and all eyes were on us. "Hey mom dad and brothers." "Oh honey come here." Mom gave me a hug. "I'm ok for right now just a little weaker than normal." "OK We came here to tell you what is happening to me right now. Jay go ahead." "Ok sure." Then he repeated what he told Lycan. "No wonder your so weak." Said Indigo. "Indigo shh." "Sorry Dad." I started silently crying in my moms arms. "Mom I'm so scared. I don't want to leave so early. I don't want to loose any of my gifts."

Before I could calm down there was a knock on the door. (Knock Knock) "Its Arion." "Oh dear. I don't want him to see me like this but it won't be the first time." "Come in." He opened the door and saw his mom and dad. "What's wrong why is mom crying?" "You know the reason by now I'm sure." "Yeah Adrian and Kida told me the news. Mom its going to be ok. We all love you and will do what we can." I smiled. "I know Arion. Thank you. I never knew your birth father but I know you definitely got that kindness from your mother and myself." "I guess I got it doubled then huh?" "Oh hi other mom." "Hi Talia. I found something in Fawns old room Arion might want. It looks like a picture of Fawn and her boyfriend." "May I see it first?" "Yes sure." "Oh my he looks just like Arion." Then I gave the picture to Arion. "Um Jay and everyone. I have a confession to make. I knew this man." "What?!" They all said in unison.

Then I explained. "Remember back when I told you I was Kidnapped and didn't return until I was 22 years old?" "Well I saw that man. His name was Kade. I didn't know he was with Fawn then I didn't know what happened at home after all those years. But he told me about Fawn and how much he loved her. You must have been just a baby cause that same year I returned she passed. Then after that I found out about you and she named me next of Kin." "I see. I knew the rest but I didn't know you knew him." "Yes well. He really seemed the love your mother very much." "If I have a son in the future I want to name him after my birth father and dad. Kade Jay Evans." "Haha has a ring to it I think." "How is your little girl doing?" "Oh she's doing great. Little trouble maker." "Haha yeah those 2 year olds." I held my head cause I felt slightly dizzy. "You ok Talia?" "Yeah just slightly dizzy I will be fine." Then we told them we would stay with my brother Lycan until whatever this is passes. "Ok we will come to visit for sure." "Good case this will be the only time I will be able to ride a horse until then. After that its back to the carriages like it was when I was pregnant." "So true." Koda was with us as well since he was told to stay close. After we visited a bit I decided I wanted to visit my uncle on the way back my kids as well."

Once we got in we asked where the King was he was on his throne right now. We thanked the maid and headed towards the throne room.

My dizziness seemed to be getting stronger. Jay noticed and He helped me walk over. "Hello your majesty." I curtseyed. "Hello my dear princess. Are you not feeling well right now?" "Oh I will be fine. I'm sure you heard from my children what is going on. We were on the way home when I decided to stop by and say hi." "Let me go get them for you. Please have a seat." We walked over to the lounge chair and sat down.

"I'm feeling a little better sitting down." "That's good to hear." A few minutes later we heard footsteps and saw my kids come in. "Hello you two." "Mom! Its good to see you. How are you feeling?" Said Kida worriedly. "I was a little dizzy but once I sat down I was fine." "Hey Koda. Thanks for watching over mom. You too dad." "Hey its my duty as a husband to watch over his wife." They sat beside us and we chatted a bit until it was time for us to go so I could get some rest. We finally got back home and went straight to our room so I could rest. Jay called the doctor so I could get a checkup. In a few minutes the doc was here and I told him about my dizzy spells. "Well its definitely related to the situation we are in. That horse ride probably wasn't a good idea." "Yeah well it happened so we can't change that right doc?" "That's right. Here is some herbs for her to have to strengthen her body a bit." "Thank you doctor." "Sure thing. Oh also she needs to rest for at least 2 days." "I got it thanks doc." "Ok then if anything changes let me know."

Days and months passed I was getting weaker and sicker. 3 months have passed and now so far I have been bed ridden even though I can barely walk or run. One of these days I will sneak out. I can't stay bedridden. I had read the book and know what to expect now. I'm not so afraid of loosing my powers or dying now until it happens. As of the moment she was asleep and someone walked in to see how she was doing. It was Jay. He felt her head and kissed it. "Oh Talia. You haven't grown out of your stubbornness. You must get that from your father." "Hmm." She acted like she was going to wake up but didn't.

About an hour later she did wake up. "Hmm. Jay. Jay?" "Yes I'm here." Then I felt relief. I grabbed his hand and was shaking. He felt it. "Did you have a nightmare? Are you cold?" "A little scared is all." "Its going to be ok. Just believe you will be fine and its only your powers ok?" "Hmm." I nodded in agreement. "Hey Jay I'm hungry. Could you get me some porridge to eat?" "Yes of course. I will be right back." Then he left I decided to try to sneak out through the window. I know I'm a little old for this but I have to try. I got up climbed down on the wall and ran. Koda was asleep and I was being careful not to wake him.

I finally succeeded. I went into the forest going away from the castles. I got to the gate. I told the men not to tell anyone I went through here although if they do find out I won't hold it against them. "Thank you your highness. Just be careful ok?" "Yes thank you."

I ran and made it to the Evans' old house although no one lives there now. Some live in the kingdom I grew up the others in the villiage I moved to 6 months ago. I looked at the old place. I put a hand on the house just to remember old times. Luckily no one lives there at the moment. In fact I don't think anyone can. I think I remember His sister Zee having the deed. I went in and checked it out.

When I stepped one foot in it, I felt a jolt. It was like a sign to stay out that danger might be near. So I stepped out and tried going around the house but the same feeling. "What is happening to me?" I said out loud to myself. Then I heard a voice. "Whose there?" said a deep woman Voice. "I'm Princess Talia. Also known as the snow princess." "Talia? Is that really you?" I heard footsteps come toward me then they stopped. I looked up and saw…"Zee is that you? Why are you here? Shouldn't you be home with your kids?" "Oh I was here looking at the old place trying to decided what to do with it?" "Wait what do you mean what to do with it?" "I can't keep the deed anymore. Its just too much." "Well What if Jay and I keep it we can pass it down to our kids." "Really you'd do that?" "Yes." I said in tears. "Ok I will put it in yours and Jay's names then I will be over ok?" "Oh I might stay here until they get me. I don't know if you have heard but I am in bad health for at least 3 more months and that is also when my daughter's wedding is with Idira." "Oh wow she is she that old now?" "Yep." "Well since my kids are being watched right now would you like me to stay here until someone gets you?" "No go ahead. I actually decided not to stay here. If Jay comes by here and says if you've seen him just tell him the truth and point in the direction. He will most likely know where I am." "Ok be careful." "Yeah thanks."

I barely got up and headed out.

I was headed toward the place where I was kidnapped after getting word to the Evans. I was getting worse now barely able to even stand let alone walk it was just willpower now that I am even moving. My vision is getting pretty bad. I finally see where I want to go but I don't think I can make it. Right when I collapsed I saw some feet then I blacked out.

I felt warm. I wonder what it is? I woke up to see a fire going. I Slowly tried to sit up but I feel a hand on my back to support me. I look up and see an old friend. "Tax. Is that you?" "Yes its me." "I haven't seen you in years how have you been?" "Living the best we can. Anyway what's wrong with you?" "Oh right. It wouldn't hurt to tell you. Uh well about 3 months ago I was at a ball and had a dizzy spell and a slight fever. Then not that long ago mom died. Once I watched her spirit I passed out then we found out it has something to do with my powers and my body fighting. In 3 more months is my daughter Kida's wedding and also the day we find out if I live and loose my powers or die. Just recently I was bedridden but I escaped. So that is my story. Oh yeah and I have a fox as you know named Koda and he is supposed to be with me to help me even if its not much." "Wow um. I don't know what to say other then when you collapsed I had someone go get your husband." "Well it's a good thing we are living there at the moment because I just started living with the elves after I had my last little girl Aria. She is 3 now. When I go back come with me. At least for the last 3 months. I miss you and Ace. Your cute Dragons as well." "Yeah they are as alive as can be. My brother is actually the one who left to get him." "Where are your men?" "Looking out. Listen if you want to sit up you can lean against this tree. So why run here of all places?" "Well when I was 16 I was sent to the Evans to give them a letter personally. Then I was taken. This was the place I was taken to. Its….Its where I met Arion's birth father Kade. He's gone now he died when Arion was born from a sickness." "I see what was he like?" "Well he was…Lets see he was definitely stubborn. I went to look at his wound to help him then he fought me so I had the others pin him down so I can help him. It was like I'd known him forever. Then something happened. I used that time to escape. Yeah I had been in there for 6 years. That year is when I was headed back home but I was knocked by my brothers horse although he didn't know it was me at the time." "I see what did they do to you here?" "Nothing good. They used us for some sort of experiments. That year I was escaped they finally found an experiment to use me for but I escaped before they did. I think what happened to Kade is that he got sick from the experiments they did on him and died from it. Oh Kade was also a funny guy. He always saw the bright side of things. I guess according to Fawn the bright side of death too." "Well get some rest. When your husband gets here I will travel with him. My brother and men will as well. They will stay outside my brother and I will come inside." "Oh ok." "Your not looking so good. I assume by now your brother and husband are on their way. Why don't you rest up a bit." "Yeah thanks." So I closed my eyes and relief.

I felt moving and don't recognize the movement. I wake up and find I don't recognize these people. "Who are you?" "Oh princess your finally awake!" "You know me?" "Yes of course me and my men know you. You might not know us but someone here does know you." He waved to someone. "No way Kade?" "No sorry. Kade died. He was my twin brother. Yes it was him you met when you were kidnapped. Its been awhile. We were both in the place you were kidnapped in. I barely made it out and someone found me and took me in." "Where are you taking me? Who are you people anyway?" "Oh right you don't remember me. I'm Zain." "I take it you don't know about Fawn then. She died when I was 22 the day I was found not long she ended up dying from overworking herself. Your nephew I raisied. If you want to meet him he does the same job Fawn did a healer. He has a daughter and a wonderful wife." "I see maybe I will go back when I can. What is the boy's name?" "I kept his names it's Arion. With an A not an O." "I see. I will think about it. Now please co cooperate won't hurt you. We are trying to help you." "You didn't hurt those men did you? They are old friends as well." "They'll live if that's what you mean. Don't worry I know that old guy Tax. He knows where you are going he will bring your precious hubby and bro to come get you. Which means we still have time to help you." "You haven't even told me where exactly we are going yet." "You will find out soon enough. We are almost there."

"Ok lets hurry! It doesn't look like she will last the 3 more months maybe at least 1 or 2 more." "Argh. What is wrong with me? I hate this feeling." Then she passes out again.

After awhile Talia wakes up saying she cold. "I'm so cold." "Talia! That was close. How are you feeling?" said Zain in a worried tone. "I'm so cold." "Ok hang on." He grabbed more blankets and said. "Is that better?" "Not really I think I'm more scared than cold shakes." "You do have a fever. I'll be right back."

He came back with an old man. "Hello princess. I am a doctor. I'm going to give you something for your fever. First I need to see how high so I can know the dose. Don't worry this medicine won't make you sleepy." "That's good." I felt a pinch and finally done. "So who do I talk to about what is going on with me?" "Oh don't worry you will know hquim when you see him. He said he knows you."

In about a few more minutes there was a knock on the door. (Knock Knock) "Come in." said Zain. "You! Arson is that you?!" "Yeah its been awhile huh Talia?" "Yeah sorry about that." "Its all good. I took over masters job after he passed on." "Oh I'm so sorry." "Its all good. Anyway I was told what was going on with you. Looks like they don't know much. Just by looking at you, you will barely pass one more month before anything happens. OK here is your option. We can leave it alone, or we can speed it up to get it over and done with." "Lets get it over and done with. I don't want my family to worry about me any more than they have to." "OK you know at the end here you will have to make the decision in your mind. You will find out later. Just trust me it won't be easy. I could take up to years before anyone decides. Time goes by slower in there and faster out here. You will find out when you are finished. Ready?" "Wait will I hear your voice or my families if I am unconscious?" "I don't know. Some people say they can others they can't. Now should we start?" "Yes please." "Ok I will be putting you in a deep sleep after that you may be in pain for a bit. Then when you find what you are looking for and make the decision the last bit of pain will happen and that is when you will find out if you are dead or alive." "OK I understand." She closed her eyes and he put her in a deep sleep.

Mean while the King and Prince just got to Tax. Oh Ace is there as well. "Where is Talia Tax?" "She was taken but I know where she is at. Right now she is probably in a deep sleep. They rushed the process." "Can you take us to her?" said Lycan. "Yes just hold your horses. Ok now I'm going to give orders to my men to go ahead since they are faster. Keep your horses here its faster on a dragon." Jay rode on Tax's Dragon, and Lycan on Ace's. "Ok men go ahead you know where to go we will catch up." "Yes sir." Then they flew off. Once everyone was situated they flew.

After awhile they finally got to the destination. Lycan and Jay rushed in. "How is Talia?" said Jay worriedly. "Talia is fine at the moment she will feel pain soon." Jay looked over and recognized the man. "Arson is that you man?" "Yeah Jay its me." "Well I'll be damned. Are you helping Talia right now?" "Yes I am. Master died a while back. So I got his job." "Do you blow stuff up too?" "Well a little bit I guess. Anyway dI would suggest you try talking to Talia. She wanted to hear a familiar voice."

Talia was finally in pain. "Argh." "Ok looks like its started. Try talking to her it might ease the pain a little."

"Talia. Talia its me Jay. Listen to my voice and focus. What is it you need to find. Close your eyes and listen to me. Listen to my voice."

(Talia's head.)

"Jay is that you?" "Oh right he probably can't hear me. Ow." I closed my eyes and did what he said and listened for his voice and focused. It definantly helped and I finally found what I was looking for." I calmed down a bit and walked towards it.

(In reality)

"Ok this is a good sign. She must have found what she had to look for. Now she has to make a decision. Once its made not matter what it is she will be in a lot of pain." "Ok can I try talking to her on this part?" "Sure go ahead."

(Back in Talia's head)

"Talia. This is your brother Lycan. Remember you want to see your kids again right? You want to see Aria grow up into a woman. Your kids need you now more that ever. Choose to live. Please we all need you." I listened to my brothers voice and was determined I have made my decision." I closed my eyes and told them in my mind what I wanted. Then the pain started for the last time. "Argh." I screamed.

(In reality)

"Oh crap! Lycan! Jay! Hold her down! Tax we might need you and your brother as well! Hurry!" said Arson. She was in pain for a good 10 minutes then the screaming subsided."As for her waking it would depend on her. Don't worry she isn't dead. She will wake." They were relieved.

(Inside Talia's head for the last time.)

"Now where am I? I made the choice am I dead?" "Then I heard a voice." "Your not dead. You were just waiting on me. sorry for the wait." "Mom? Is that you?" "No I am not your mom I took on her form to help you." "OK so what are you here to tell me then?" "When you wake up the powers you had will be gone. All of them." "I see. I figured as much." "They will be transferred to your first born child. Since you had twins, they will be split between them. WE do not know how just that they will. Once you wake up you will feel a little weak for a few minutes but when you stand you will get your strength back. I would suggest you go see your twins when you leave here." "Thank you. Whoever you are."

(In reality)

"Hmm. Uh." I slowly opened my eyes. I saw Jay my brother and Arson. "Well how did it go?" said Arson. "I have to go see Aiden and Kida they now have my powers. They were split between them since my first born were twins." I stood up and got my strength back. OK lets go." "Do you have any spare dragons?" "Yes I have one. Lycan will ride with Ace." "Got it." "Do you remember how to ride Talia?" "Yes of course I do." "Ok good. We are going to go where your brother and husband left their horses."

They finally got there and I hopped on Jay's horse and we galloped back to the elf castle along with the dragons.

The men at the gate were shocked. "Princess! Your back!" "Yes let us through its an emergency." "Yes right away." So they let us through and I ran to the king. "Your majesty." We all bowed. "Arise my friends and family." "I need to talk to my twins. Are they here?" "Yes but the are in a safe room because they have powers they cannot control." "OK thanks I know where that is. You all stay here except for Arson. Lets go." We ran over to the room he was talking about.

"Open the door please." "Yes your highness." I went in with Arson. "Kids! Oh my Gosh! I am so sorry for all of this!" "Mom!" They both ran over and gave me a hug. "Its going to be ok kids. I promise. Hey I have a surprise. Look who's here." He put down his hood. "Arson! Your back!" said Aiden. "Yeah I sure am." He hugged back. "Are you still planning on getting married Kida?" "Yes but I can't control anything right now. All of a sudden I can talk to animals and flowers. Then a ghost appears out of nowhere." "Yeah me too its stronger when we are together though." "Oh so that's what she meant." "Arson you have those tools to surpress?" "Yes. I do." "OK so here's the thing. This will keep your powers from leaking and going out of control. Once Kida is married I will be taking both the twins to train their powers and yes their fiancé/husband can come as well." "Ok good." "Yes we agree." "ok am I invited to the wedding?" "Yes its in 3 more months." "OK well shall we?" WE all went out and joined everyone. Kida and Adrian ran to there lovers. I ran to Jay and my baby girl Aria.
