Club Rain

By 22:30 we were pulling up to Club Rain. Not the most original name for a club, but it was a club, nonetheless. Ava and Lee had me dressed in a black draped front halter crop top and skintight black short shorts that stopped mid-thigh. It took them about an hour just to convince me to wear it. Then to top it off, they shoved a pair of black satin rhinestones embellished stilettos at me and made me get dressed. To say I hated my friends right now would be an understatement. At least they had the decency to let me use my knee long coat to leave the school.

I could feel the bass as it vibrated through the club. I could hear the songs blasting through the speakers as we walked to the front of the line and were let in. According to Nolan it was run well owned by a werewolf and since we were werewolves we didn't have to wait in line or have to show our ID to the bouncer at the door. Max had his arm securely wrapped around my waist as we walked up the seemingly never-ending staircase to fully enter the club. This was definitely going to be a night to remember.

It had been a long freaking week for me. I never had to endure anything like it before. With meeting my mate and rejecting her. It's been a helluva ride. Now I find myself at a club that a lot of our pack members frequently go to. I could use a drink right about now and that's exactly what I'm waiting for. Rock Mafia's The Big Bang was blasting through the speakers.

" I thought you said Emma and her friends were coming?" Austin asked Ally.

"They are." She replied looking around trying to find Emma. "Ooh there they are!" She squealed.

"Where?" I asked looking towards the entrance.

"Right there!" She said pointing to a group of people that just walked in.

I couldn't see her face and I couldn't catch her scent with all the other scents mixed in the room. I watched as I saw a guy lean in and whispered something in her ear, she nodded, and he went to stand behind her. His hands ran up her arms slowly until they reached her shoulders.

"I can't wait to see what she's wearing!" Ally grinned squealing like a kid in a candy store.

He took hold of her coat and pulled it off her shoulders slowly. Was it just me or was it getting hot in here? I thought pulling at the collar of my button up.

I sat and watched as she turned to thank him, but instead of her gaze catching his; she caught hold of mine. I could feel a growl bubbling in my chest as I took in her outfit. There was barely any material covering her body. What a fine she's got. But no one should be able to see her dressed like that; only I should.

'You rejected her, remember?' My wolf Zion, growled at me.

'Oh, now you want to talk to me' I hissed.

' I wonder whose fault is that? Oh, right yours you jackal!' He said to me.

"I'm going to go talk to them." Ally said kissing Austin on the cheek and walked off with Liam to meet them.

"So, when do you plan on telling you parents and sister that you found and rejected your mate at the same time?" Austin asked looking chilled and me shocked.

"How did you know?" I asked.

"Dude, I have a mate remember? I know what all the signs are, and you my friend can't hide it from me." He spoke.

"I don't know what I'm going to do." I admitted.

"Here's what you shouldn't do. You shouldn't be using Sarah as a distraction cause it's just going to make things worse with your wolf and hers. Stop being a baby all the time it may seem like she doesn't care, but she does--at least her wolf does."

"I don't want a mate." I stated.

"No, you don't want to lose your mate like your dad did." He corrected "Look, you need to get your head out of the clouds and accept her and the mate bond. You're only making things worse if you don't." He said getting up and walked away.

I sat there letting what he said sink in. He walked over to where they were all standing, laughing and drinking. I knew he was right, but I also know that I have a load of making up for if I ever thought she would accept me. I knew where I had to start though.

~Emma~

I was just standing there with everyone as they talked and laughed amongst one another. I drank my third shot of tequila and huffed. I knew Ally was coming and because of that I should've known that Jaxson would be here. I was surprised that Sarah wasn't attached to him. I needed to get out on the dance floor and vent out on the floor. So, I grabbed Max's arm and pulled him out there with me. I didn't care what songs were being played I just moved my body to the beat. Max's chest was pressed lightly against my back as we danced. As the hours rolled on by, I had danced with the girls, drank and danced more with Max. I was dancing with the girls, and I could feel my body heating up from all the bodies on the dance floor. I need a break and a drink.

"I'm going to go get a drink!" I shouted to the girls; they nodded, and I squeezed my way through all the packed bodies.

Finally reaching the bar after what felt like decades, I ordered a rum and coke. I polished it in less than 30 seconds and then ordered another. I leaned my back against the cool countertop and fanned myself with a coaster. It didn't work as well as I wanted it too. I tied my hair up into a ponytail and watched the crowd. One second, I was staring out into a sea of bodies and the next thing I'm staring into Jaxson's striking blue eyes. My breath hitched due to our close proximity. Tingles shot throughout my entire body as his hand came up to my face creasing my cheek.

"Emma Stone, daughter to Alpha's Noah and Kalian Stone. Older sister Anna and younger brother Matthew Stone. Born and raised in Hawaii, North Shore pack. Favorite color is royal blue and loves everything that has to do with water especially surfing. Top of your class at your old school. Best friends are Ava who's mated with Nolan, Kylee, Kayden and Max." Jaxson whispered but I heard him loud and clear. "I'm sorry." He said kissing my forehead before walking away.

What the heck just happened? I thought as I watched him disappear through the crowd.
