In the tunnel, we can see Sho walking out with a crazed expression on his face.

Sho entered the stadium walking past the multiple scouts on each side of the pitch. Even a peculiarly lanky one in a full black outfit with square glasses.

Every player got into their positions and waited for the referee to toss the coin.

Before the referee in the center circle tossed the coin in the air Akikawa's Captain shouted

Akikawa Captain: "Heads!"

The referee tossed the coin up in the air and watched as it hit the ground flipping onto heads.

Akikawa pointed towards the goal opposite of him and confirmed to the referee that they'd like to score in that goal for the first half.

Sho stood next to the ball and eagerly waited for the referee to blow the whistle, alerting everyone to start the game.

The referee surveyed the field and saw everyone in their positions. He took a deep breath and blew the whistle.

As soon as the whistle blew, Sho unlocked the dreadful emotions that lay within his eyes. He let his instinct take over his body as he slowly moved up the field. He called for the ball and waited for his incompetent teammates.

With contempt in his eyes he ran full speed at his teammates and forcefully took the ball from his teammates possession. The usual cool, calm, and relaxed Sho was no more. He nutmegged 2 of the opposing players as he made his way up the field. As soon as he was within the penalty area, without hesitation he kicked the ball with his right leg at full power.

The goalkeeper's eyes widened in pure terror as he felt the ball whiz right past his head.

There was no celebration after the goal. His teammates were far behind him anyway. He emotionlessly walked away from the opposing goal, and got ready for their attack.

The enemy team didn't know what to do, their goalkeeper was scared to death and the rest of the players' mouths dropped, when Sho kicked the ball with such force.

All of the onlookers in the stands cheered on as Sho walked away from the opposing team. Nearly every scout was writing down Sho's name in their notebooks, all except one. The one outlier stared at Sho's back as he walked away. Truly mesmerized by his play.

What no one expected was for Sho to turn it up a notch.

The opposing team got in their position and started their attack. Sho quickly approached the opposing player with the ball but said player kicked it away from Sho in hopes of him not getting the ball. Unfortunately for him he was already caught in the trap.

The kicked ball shot through the air, and landed right in front of Shizuoka's own goalkeeper. The goalkeeper picked up the ball and threw it in Sho's direction in hopes of seeing another one of those amazing plays. Lucky for him he was about to get so much more.

Cruel fate truly was on Sho's side as the ball landed right to his feet. Without hesitation he dribbled it onward, what every player saw was something unearthly. Everything under Sho's ankles disappeared in a haze of smoke. In a 1 meter (3 feet) radius, everything was in a dark haze. You could see the outline of the ball at the toes of Sho's foot but nothing else. As an opponent approached, he tried to steal the ball from Sho's possession, but his foot wisped through the smoke, kicking nothing but smoke.

Every defender saw Sho kick the smoke, and out came the ball as it sailed through the sky, curving into the top right of the goal.

Sho wiped the sweat off his forehead and looked on with a bored expression.

The spectators stared in absolute awe as Sho continued terrorizing, Akikawa Academy. Finishing the first half of the game 6-0. In favor of Sho. As Shizuoka Gakuen went through the tunnel back to their locker rooms, every scout scurried to Sho in hopes of getting him to join their school after High school.

One thing everyone didn't see was the love for football in Renji's eyes disappear.

In Shizuoka Gakuen's locker room, there was nothing but utter silence as Coach Kataoka sat down. His mouth agape as he tried to understand what had just transpired before his eyes. Coach Kataoka observed the rest of the room and spotted everyone else with the same surprised expression. Everyone except Sho as he began taking off his football gear.

Coach Kataoka could see how quick, and out of breath Sho was after the first half so he did what anyone would do and subbed him out for the rest of the game.

Akikawa never recovered after Sho obliterated them during the first half. For the rest of the game, Akikawa accepted defeat and stood still, as Shizuoka scored an additional 2 goals, ending the game at 8-0. In Shizuoka Gakuen's favor

On the bus ride back, every player started talking to Sho, hoping he'd explain how he did what he did. Sadly for Sho's teammates he never explained, instead he smiled and said

Sho: "I'm really tired guys, I'll explain it tomorrow."

All of the players understood and left him alone for the rest of the bus ride back to school.

After making it back to the school, Sho exhaustingly gathered his belongings and began walking behind the school hoping to go home, but before he could Renji came up from behind him and grabbed his cleats, jersey, shin guards, anything that related to football and threw it into the trash, overcome with misery he quietly uttered

Renji: "I quit."

Sho looked deep within those demoralized eyes and happily said

Sho: "Alright!"

Sho turned back around and skipped his way out of the school and into his bed.

In the following weeks, the Shihoin's mailbox was full every other day. Mostly scholarship offers to prestigious high schools, and occasionally mail from unknown supporters from around Shizuoka. Sho Shihoin became a name mostly everyone in Shizuoka knew, whether they followed junior high school (middle school) football or not.

If you think Sho's new ability is broken please go read about his ability in the "Sho And His Abilities" chapter. It's not super OP but it is really powerful. If you've got some questions about anything please ask.

Next Chapter: Tsuiho

If you didn't realize, Renji was the first player Sho met in the locker room during Chapter 13. Hopefully you liked this chapter as much as I did.

Be safe! <3
