Hunt

"Help me!" screamed the green dragon, Aisaria, flapping her wings in a desperate attempt to escape the Silver-Winged Griffon's relentless pursuit. Despite her efforts, the Griffon's speed and agility, coupled with its immense strength, proved overwhelming. It tore through Aisaria's wing membranes and inflicted a painful bite on her tail.

Fortunately, as magical creatures, dragons do not solely rely on their wings and tails for flight, so Aisaria managed to maintain her altitude and fend off the Griffon's attacks, avoiding an immediate crash.

Realizing her mistake in separating from the group, Aisaria understood the gravity of her situation. Hunting such a formidable beast required cautious and coordinated efforts. Now, rejoining her comrades seemed nearly impossible, as it would mean crossing directly in front of the ferocious Griffon.

"We have to catch up to her," Yongrong analyzed calmly, understanding that retreat was not an option for Aisaria.

"If she were smart, she'd move towards us, even at the risk of getting hurt. Continuing to flee like this only leads to death," Kazan remarked coldly.

"She can't come back to us. Green dragons are not known for their physical strength. If she tries to cross in front of the Griffon, she might die instantly," Yongrong replied, shaking his head.

At that moment, Aisaria sustained another severe injury, her right wing torn off completely, causing her to plummet towards the ground.

"Be wary of the other one," Posa cautioned, scanning the surroundings for the second Griffon.

"We can't just watch her get killed. We need to save her first," Yongrong decided. Electrifying his body, he surged towards Aisaria, cutting through the air with thunderous speed.

The Griffon cornered Aisaria against a towering rock wall, leaving her no room to retreat. In a desperate show of draconic ferocity, Aisaria lunged forward, biting at the Griffon's jaw. Despite her efforts, she couldn't penetrate its muscular hide. The Griffon, enraged, flung her against the rock wall, causing her to slide down in defeat.

Yongrong arrived just in time, landing with a thunderous roar and quickly engaging the Griffon. He bit into its back, trying to restrain its movements, but the Griffon, undeterred, focused solely on Aisaria.

Kazan soon joined the fray, his rapid arrival surprising Yongrong. Kazan and Yongrong struggled to hold the Griffon back as it relentlessly pursued Aisaria.

Aisaria, despite her injuries, attacked again, biting into the Griffon with her venomous teeth. However, their combined efforts were still insufficient to overpower the Griffon.

Posa finally arrived, demonstrating unmatched close-combat skills. Circling the Griffon's neck, he slashed open its throat, spraying blood everywhere.

The Griffon, still screeching, attempted one final attack on Aisaria but succumbed to its injuries and fell dead.

The young dragons regrouped, checking their surroundings for any further danger. Yongrong and Kazan relaxed their electrified and fiery states, respectively, and dragged the Griffon's corpse away, approaching the bloodied Aisaria.

Exhausted and furious, Aisaria lunged at the Griffon's corpse, tearing at its neck until she collapsed, leaning against the rock wall.

After regaining her composure, Aisaria looked up at her companions. "Why was there only one?"

"You should be grateful. If there had been another, you'd be nothing but a pile of flesh and blood," Kazan replied with a cold laugh.

Aisaria acknowledged her mistake and fell silent.

Yongrong waited a while, ensuring no further threats, then turned to Kazan, puzzled. "How did you..."

Kazan, not known for speed, had somehow managed to arrive almost as quickly as Yongrong, who had used his electrified state to sprint. If not for Kazan's timely aid, Aisaria's fate would have been uncertain.

Kazan beamed proudly at Yongrong's surprised expression, unaware that Yongrong's shock wasn't due to Kazan learning from his electric state. In fact, Yongrong had openly taught this technique to their group, but apart from himself, no one had been able to execute it properly.

Belron couldn't grasp it, Hel electrocuted himself, and Posa, though managing to use it briefly, suffered greatly. They had named this demanding ability "Overlimit State."

After the intense battle, as the noon sun warmed the valley and a gentle breeze flowed, Yongrong opened his mouth to discuss with Kazan but was interrupted by Posa's growl: "I smell you. Come out!"
