Moving the In-Laws

"Still thinking about moving back home?" Han Qingshan asked with his low and magnetic voice, not showing any signs of wanting to release Jiang Yingyue.

Feeling a sweetness in her heart she had not felt before, Jiang Yingyue shook her head, but she said nothing.

"Let me talk with my parents," she said after contemplating for a bit of time. "If I can live with you, I will send them home," she said honestly.

"Home is not the capital?" Han Qingshan could not help but ask, and Jiang Yingyue shook her head. "There is only one place that can be considered home for me," she sighed. Her eyes were filled with pain as she once more remembered the great loss she had suffered when Jiang Fengmian had died.

Sensing that her emotions were in turmoil, Han Qingshan tightened the grasp around her waist and pulled her deeper into his embrace.

"Don't think about anything else," he said gently. "I will help Auntie and Uncle if I can," he promised. "But it might be a good idea to let them start over somewhere else."

The whole fake ID was a problem that needed to be solved as soon as possible. If the two parents were able to return to their original homes and their original identities, then there was only Jiang Yingyue left with a fake ID, and this would make things much easier, not only for her but also for Han Qingshan.

Jiang Yingyue nodded her head. "I will call them," she said decisively. "They ought to be at home at the current point in time, and they should leave for their night shifts soon."

"Do that," Han Qingshan agreed, but Jiang Yingyue was somewhat embarrassed. "You will have to release me first," she muttered, her cheeks red.

But Han Qingshan was incredibly shameless. Instead of releasing her, he gently pushed her to the sofa and placed her down upon it, before he gestured for her to call, while he sat down next to her, holding her other hand in his own.

Jiang Yingyue felt it was a bit weird. Why would Han Qingshan hold her hand all of a sudden? Was it not a bit too intimate? Did friends hold each other's hands like this?

Jiang Yingyue felt that something was out of place, but she was not sure what it was, and could only take her phone and dial her father's number.

The moment she got through, she quickly explained the situation.

"Dad, I think we should sell the house, and you and mother should return to the village." she began. "Han Qingshan has offered that I can live with him, and I will not have to worry about you two.

"You have never actually liked the life here in the capital, and have only been putting up with it for me.

"I feel that it is time for you to return to your roots, not to mention he has been alone for a long time. You have been protecting me and looking after me for all this time, but now, it is time for him to be looked after by you."

When Jiang Yingyue said this, tears once more welled up in her eyes and started dropping. Her brother had been buried back in the village, but after they left, they had not returned even once. It was truly unfair to Jiang Fengmian.

Han Qingshan did not understand what Jiang Yingyue was talking about, but he did not ask either. He felt that this was, perhaps, the reason for them to use fake IDs.

"Will it really be okay?" Jiang Wei could not help but ask. "You know, with your... identity... is it really suitable to live together with Young Master Shan?"

Jiang Yingyue thought about it for a moment, but she had decided to live as a man, so it should be fine.

"It will be fine," she said, trying to pacify him, "I have my own room and everything."

Han Qingshan could only hear the words that Jiang Yingyue spoke, so he was quite curious, but he restrained his curiosity as he looked at Jiang Yingyue who was much happier now than she had been before.

Jiang Yingyue spoke for a bit with her father about the practicalities of selling the house and moving back.

Han Qingshan understood that it was quite far away, at the other end of the country, so it was not something that was done easily.

"I will help you out," Han Qingshan said smilingly. "I know a few real estate agents who can help you sell the house at the best possible price," he promised.

Jiang Yingyue had been a little lost about what to do, but then Han Qingshan took his phone and started calling around. He had quickly found an agent, and they had agreed to go to the house two days later to see it, and planned to put up a listing for it.

It was not that Han Qingshan wanted Jiang Yingyue's parents to leave fast, it was just that he truly wanted to ensure that she did not back out on her promise of moving in together with him.

As long as she had no other home, where could she turn to if not him? The feeling of having her depending on him was so marvelous that he could not contain the smile that slipped onto his face.

He had still not let go of Jiang Yingyue's hand, and suddenly, a few knocks came from the door.

"Come in," Han Qingshan called out as he finally withdrew his hand, albeit rather regretfully.

Song Liwei came inside with a carrier bag from the local sushi restaurant. "Young Master Shan, Mister Jiang, I brought you some food."
